Stewart and Duren are going to be the toughest, most physical frontcourt duo of the future.

Detroit and Charlotte are like the broken ghetto neighborhoods of the NBA.

Does LeBron have to teach this guy a lesson again? :pimp:

ISAIAH STEWART FIGHTS ENTIRE HORNETS! NEARLY PUNCHED BRANDON MILLER! FULL FIGHT!

Wtf? What a ridiculous video title. Nothing happened. Just some yapping and a couple of hard fouls.

NBA Fan: "The league is soft; players used to be tough back in the 80's man!"

also same NBA fan (taken from YouTube comments on the video).

"I don’t like people who try to play tough all the time, not everybody gonna go for that"
"This dude has anger issues"

A video from the past shows tough players the viewer is safe from. When they contend with a physical player making hard fouls right here and now, their insecurity gets the best of them. Then they try to depict toughness as being petulant, as being "out of control", as being unacceptable.

The average fan is torn between two tendencies: to posture as tough online by lauding physical play, and being squeamish and insecure because that's how people are in America today.

Show him an old video of the Bad Boys of the Pistons, he'll act like that's how the game should be played.

Show him a guy who looks like Isaiah Stewart doing it today, he'll engage in mental gymnastics and intellectual dishonesty in trying to spin the same physicality as a problem.

Fakest tough guy in the league

Went at LeBron only after people were there to hold him back

And now trying to act like a hard man against a 20 year old rookie :facepalm

For today's league theres no bigger headcase or crash out than this dude. I fear for whoever plays Detroit in the 1st round because they're gonna hurt somebody. It's to the point where I hope the Knicks face Milwaukee and Giannis.

Nah... he's not fake. Just strong and crazy. Honestly seems like a bad mean person. Some tough guys aren't actually mean people. Artest and Ben Wallace I've heard them speak a bit, they're not cruel or malicious personalities. Stewart is.

He even made fellow crash out draymond green tremble like a b!tch.

It’s an act. It’s what’s keeping him in the league. No one is turning around or hiding behind a trash can crouched down when Stewart walks by.

Single handedly bringing back detroit's physical past.

I don't care if it's fake or not. I like it. NBA should have some physicality in it even players hating each other. It's part of the entertainment of it.

Eh, I'm not so sure. Didn't he punch somebody in a parking lot a couple years ago before a game?

I like em because he only preys on the strong. He’s a lion that only hunts hyenas, hippos, crocs, and leopards. Gotta respect that

Nah. He's a good rim protector.

Define good. Because his numbers aren’t that great.

I think last year. Not sure when. All he does is push/shove and grapple. You either going to throw punches or not. And I think the incident he is alleged to have punched someone? I don’t think he wasn’t even playing the game.

I’m not a believer. Guy is a cornball.

I mean, he leads the league in at-the-rim FG%Against. :confusedshrug:

Has he been doing this in prior seasons?

Not quite to this degree. He's come on this season with Bickerstaff playing him exclusively at the 5. JB's getting the best out of everyone.

He is strong. I dunno if he's a shot blocker, but I do think people don't wanna get touched up by him haha.

He's not that tall, and he can't jump, yet he somehow is an effective shot blocker.

He ain't nobody to worry about. Sort of like a bigger version of Lance Stephenson.
Somebody who not gonna really do anything.

Actually, it's the other way around. It's the only reason we know who he is. He ran all over the court with a bloody lip trying to get to LeBron.
