This is the flag of the political organization known as Hezbollah in Lebanon. It's got a ****ing AK-47 in the flag. An AK-47!
Can you imagine taking sides with these people instead of Israel??

its not even the correct silhouette of an AK, the stock is angled on an AK and the barrel/receiver is not straight through
I know it's silly, but in my objective assessment, I must say that this flag design is quite poor.
To begin, a flag should maintain simplicity and instant recognizability, and the inclusion of fonts only complicates matters. Fonts are more suitable for printed materials, not flags.
Additionally, the depiction of an arm raising an AK-47 in the air is visually unpleasing. And not just because it's an arm raising an AK-47, which is very divisive, but because it's simply a horrible drawing. And what's up with that strange depiction underneath the arm? Is that supposed to be a fire truck or something?
This flag design gives off the impression that it was crafted over the weekend, by a neighbor's art student son, rather than by professionals who have explored numerous designs with the guidance of a committee to select the very best one.
Furthermore, the design doesn't blend well with the solid yellow background, nor does it blend well with a rectangular shape of a flag. It's essential for the colors and elements of a flag to work in harmony, and in this case, it falls short of that objective.
I'm also not liking the mix of green and yellow.
I could go on and on. What do you guys think?

I just want to add to my previous post.
The United States flag is very iconic, with its 50 stars representing each of the 50 states. It's beautiful. Great flag design.
Here's its evolution.

The Japanese flag is another example of great flag design, with its simplicity, it's easily recognizable. When one thinks of Japan, the image of Mount Fuji blanketed in white snow often comes to min. And you can very easily imagine the Japanese flag waving in the air against the Mount Fuji backdrop. The white background, featuring a red sun, seamlessly blends with this image of Mount Fuji. Now imagine if the Japanese government decided to add text fonts to the Japanese flag. It would fowl it.

Now the Ugandan flag is a beautiful flag, showcasing bold black, yellow, and red stripes, but it has a chicken in the middle of it. Flags should not have chickens or any other type of animals on them.

The Cuban and Puerto Rican flags are too similar, and so distinguishing them from a distance can be challenging. I don't like that.

Either one or both should change its design.

Can a flag really be that "iconic" when it was copied from an english trading company? The US "grand union" flag is virtually identical to the east india company flag of the era.

Kinda makes you wonder just how much "independence" the US truly won from the revolution

The poster above me is a very well educated man.
Thank you for your kind words. I believe in continuous learning. It makes life more interesting, like an ongoing journey. Your recognition is truly appreciated.
And I also want to say that I'm genuinely pleased that you've chosen to return to the forum. And like I said in the related thread, even if everyone might not agree with some of the things you have to say, you added a unique and irreplaceable flavor to the discussions that makes this forum more vibrant and engaging.

You have a point. The Grand Union flag's design lacks originality and quite frankly feels lazy. But this flag was used for less than two years, during a time of great upheaval and change. Over the years, the flag's design has undergone significant evolution and refinement, reflecting the growth of our nation.

I was very entertained reading the assessments of 2QR3. His posts reminded me of Walk on Water in that they really got you thinking and seeing things at deeper level as you read. I even forgot that I was on a ISH thread. Who even knew that the Ugandan flag had a chicken.

Hezbollah is a political organization AND paramilitary group. The use of gun images are common in paramilitary.
For example, here's the logo of a paramilitary group in the US:

None of this is objective

I think you're a moron who has no idea what the fck objective means. Everything you said is subjective; open to interpretation.
It's all good though, I don't expect much from members of this board.

My post contains both objective and subjective elements. The objective aspects include statements like "Fonts are more suitable for printed materials, not flags" and "It's essential for the colors and elements of a flag to work in harmony," which express design principles that can be objectively discussed.
And then I just went on a rant with my opinions and personal preference, such as "this flag design is quite poor," "visually unpleasing," "simply a horrible drawing," and "It falls short of that objective." These statements reflect my personal judgment and feelings about the Hezbollah flag design and its various elements.
