How in the hell do you give a guy an $11 mil a year contract, when he hasn't had one decent season in the NBA?

You can't point to a single season, and go, yep, this guy does something right.

He is small, a bad defender, doesn't score at a high rate given his minutes, isn't efficient, and doesn't even shoot 3's well, which is what he is apparently "known" for.

Some of these teams are shocking at scouting. A nice stretch of games in a playoff series doesn't make a player. A 5 year stretch showing the same repeated results should tell you what you'll get from him.

What? No way! There is no possible way that people in NBA front offices aren't all super competent at their jobs. These are "serious people." Just remember that always. If an ex NBA player, for example, has an opinion about basketball, they're right. You're wrong. Even when two former ex NBA players have directly opposing viewpoints, they're both right even though they're directly disagreeing with one another and you're still wrong even if you agree with one of them. Always appeal to authority! I'd trust Magic Johnson over you about anything basketball related! You're a nobody on a dead NBA forum!

Always remember, these are "serious people" with millions of dollars at stake. They're all super professional and super good at their jobs. Nobody with an average IQ is making it into these front offices.
