this is also true of the TDS left.

trump simply can't just be another lying, corrupt oligarch. that would imply he's just like every other person in washington. unfortunately that's not a good enough reason to vote against trump. therefore in order to justify their feelings, trump has to be cast as satan incarnate.

and yet even heading into the fall, with trump still in office, confidence was high and the market was recovering.

bill maher made a joke on his show circa 2019 that the trump economy was so good, the only hope democrats would have to win the 2020 election was for a crazy depression like crash.

and what do you know, they got their miraculous wish. just in time for the election year.
