With all due respect you got this wrong. Ayton is not talented. People are charmed by #1 draft pick status. What does he do well? Finishing. After that his options on offense are all bad ideas. His defense was okay. It was never going to lead a team or mature into an identity. Evaluators just saw athlete and been giving a benefit of the doubt forever on him. He was not an all time defensive force in college either. There is nothing he has done at any level to believe he will be. Except this one matchup with the Joker?

Talented how? What specifically could you point to the first time you saw him?

I am inclined to say you are full of it. His ppg production in his second year was impressive if you did not watch him play. He didn't make that leap on offense until he gave up that broken face up jumper he loved as a rookie/soph.
