View Full Version : Super Mario Bros. World Record
https://youtu.be/Khu9BB2g4Ks
I was deeply concerned for his heart rate. With so much at stake, the pressure was immense, and the adrenaline was pumping through his veins. A normal resting heartrate should be around 70 bpm, and he was pushing 190 bpm.
The intensity of the moment, combined with the knowledge that one minor misstep could cost him the record, pushed his body to its limits. It's a good thing he's a teenager and in relatively good shape.
Skip to 5:33 to witness the moment his heart rate surges to 190 bpm, alongside his emotional response to achieving the record. As well as 5:10.

They're both teenagers, but if that was Axe, then the 190 bpm heart rate would have killed him. He wouldn't be alive.
The guy in the video performed something that nobody else in the world can duplicate. A record that's very difficult, almost impossible to beat. Very similar to Axe's ISH record of 30,000+ posts in under 3 years (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?509407-Axe-s-30-000-post-thread). A feat that he did with who knows how many other alts. Never skipping a day, except for that one Christmas day that he went nuts posting nonstop on his ThRRR3tardSatan account.

You took an experimental vaccine created by the government. Combined with your weight, I came to the logical conclusion that the person in the video cannot be you, because 190 bpm would have killed you. That's logical deductive detective reasoning.

I've been seeing quite a number of accusations directed at Axe, suggesting he possesses numerous alt accounts and that he embodies various personas on this forum.
And now it's gotten to the point where he's not only being merely accused of being various members, including myself. But he's also being accused of possibly being Niftski, a very accomplished speed runner who has no connection to Inside Hoops.
If, in fact, Axe turned out to be knifski, it would truly astonish me, and I would be genuinely pleased to have someone of his caliber as a member of the ISH community.

Your willingness to support his content if Axe and Nnifski were one and the same individual is quite commendable. I not only echo and share that sentiment, but I would also go as far as personally attending all of his events if such a connection were true.

I appreciate the statement, and after re watching the video my initial assessment stands. Axe is too fat, and on top of that he took an experimental vaccine created by the government. The 190 bpm heartbeat would have killed him, or at the very least he would have passed out long before his bpm reached 190. He would not have been able to break the record due to unconsciousness and possibly death. For that reason alone, he is not the guy in the video.
Speaking of the video, I saw a kennethgriffin (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnx1c2yAmP76j3Xtmf24-fA) comment in the comment section. He wrote:
the fact that you had to show you didn't use any of the cheats makes me think you cheated tbh. like why do people even use computers and emulators when you can use the actual games still. i have a nintendo and mario cartridge. if i wanna beat the world record i'm doing it on that. not some cheat code hacked emulation thing. the actual controllers are WAAAAY harder to perfect and true world records are authenticated in person by Guinness. this is not a world record. sorry. especially not in todays world where everything is AI generated. video evidence means nothing anymore. we need 3rd party authentication

One, I'm agreeing with you, the guy in the embedded YouTube video is NOT you. And two, I responded to a diamenz comment that basically asked me, jstern, what my opinion was about you potentially being the guy in the embedded YouTube video. Which I think was a fair question considering how prolific you are with the alts.

**** that, shit doesn't count unless he's playing with a NES controller.
Edit: but yo, don't hate on video games for getting your heart racing. It's amazing people don't stroke out sometimes because you're NOT moving but putting so much energy into it. Even with like race car driving you can feel something and are moving a LITTLE. This is all mental and fingers. But boo @ keyboard. Cross that shit out.

If you're interested, here's Niftski utilizing an original NES controller, perhaps for the first time in his life. I was genuinely taken aback at how he managed to surpass all the top players, including the former World Record holder, Kosmic. Note: At 0:45 in the video, during the transition from world 1-1 to world 1-2, one of the players solves a rubik's cube while blindfolded, with plenty of time to spare. How cool is that?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cGTD1VviKY
The community has collectively agreed that employing a 100% cycle-accurate NES emulator is deemed acceptable, even when the game is played using a keyboard. I view this as a positive, enhancing accessibility to the game. If you notice, a majority of these participants are teenagers who likely had never even seen an NES or a CRT television, and thus probably started their speed running endeavors on emulators.

one of the players solves a rubik's cube while blindfolded,
The brain is amazing. I never even learned how to solve a cube, real talk. I understood there must be a method, but did not learn. I dunno if I could visualize it or not. I have trouble visualizing things that aren't complex. I visualize systems.
And yeah I understand it's probably acceptable, but it's different enough that it shouldn't be lol. People been doin that speed run stuff forever.
I remember when I posted the SMB movie here, the old one. THAT is epic content. I had a feeling this was going to be about the money SMB new movie made or something, and I was surprised to see it was speedrun.

This is the former world record holder, Miniland. 15 years old, (17 now), despite the game coming out in 1985.

lol. I was trollin, but it's a good movie. It was even filmed by a camera filming a TV.
But yea if you 'know how to do a rubix cube,' all you have to be able to do (which honestly would be hard for me) is remember every color on one face.

Here's a video that combines three different world records (Kosmic, Niftski, Miniland) and a Human Theory TAS.

One last interesting video. Beating Super Mario Bros. with minimum 'A' presses.

The top 369 scores, all playing at once.
https://youtu.be/NisWoTNyfeU?t=71
You can skip to a minute, eleven seconds into the video.
You would need the power of at least 369 NES', to recreated this back in the 80s.

A couple of weeks ago I considered sharing the video of the First Ever Level 148 in NES Tetris. A remarkable achievement and a world record. This thread popped into my head, because I still wasn't too familiar with the BurningHammer Axe character when it was created. But is there anything internet related that you're not into? You're into every obscure thing on the internet. Summoning salt, wrestling, speedrunning, some obscure porno song reddit drama from the 1980s (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?517305-The-Most-Elusive-Lost-Song-Has-Just-Been-Found). Lil Tay (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?513597-RIP-Lil-Tay), and who knows what other obscure things. What grown man would be aware of Lil Tay? The Doge dog dying (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?517617-RIP-Doge). I even went to the baseball thread the other day, and there was BurningHammer talking about baseball too. Where do you get the time to be into all these things? You have to be Axe. You even embedded the Tetris world record in this thread.

So funny, because it matches Diamenz theory that this Super Mario Bros player is Axe. Of course I don't think it's Axe, because the 190 BPM would have killed him, due to the obesity.
The video has 728 thousands views. So I hope it really is Axe, so that he could at least make some money.

Niftski has done it again, setting a new world record for Super Mario Bros, and it's remarkably close to a theoretically perfect run, which is only 18 frames faster. During this world record, his heart rate reached 188 BPM, slightly below his peak in the original, nearly flawless attempt.

I think the new video by 2qr3 proves without a shadow of a doubt that the guy is not Axe. Even if we overlook that the guy is not Japanese, his arm flex at 5:51 shows that he's been working out. His heart rate, even at the start of the run is terrible though, though I imagine Axe's heart rate to be even worse, due to his level of fat.
