WASHINGTON (AP) — The House voted late Tuesday to censure Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan — the only Palestinian American in Congress — an extraordinary rebuke of her rhetoric about the Israel-Hamas war.
The 234-188 tally came after enough Democrats joined with Republicans to censure Tlaib, a punishment one step below expulsion from the House. The three-term congresswoman has long been a target of criticism for her views on the decades-long conflict in the Middle East.

What antisemitism lol
I don't pretend to know why Jews have been hated for thousands of years, but this is probably one of the reasons.
Cowardice.
And maybe that's been engrained into your cultural DNA ever since Jews first started getting persecuted in Ancient Egypt, but by God, when I see Jews stand with Muslims who absolutely despise them, it makes me wonder if it could be anything else other than a cultural modification of self-preservation throughout the years that makes people like you side with the enemy.

Well that didn't take long.
Large Marge Taylor Greene is calling for the oust of MAGA Mike Johnson as speaker of the House.
BREAKING: Trumper Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene drops Tuesday bombshell, declares that new Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson should “be ousted” for crossing two “red lines.”
In today’s explosive interview, Greene said that Speaker Johnson should “be ousted” because he is “about to pass” a “continuing resolution” to keep the government funded and because that continuing resolution contains “Ukraine funding” to help Ukraine fend off Russia and Vladimir Putin’s deadly invasion.
Greene declared, “We had Matt Gaetz, and seven other Republicans that declared red lines, where any speaker that passes a CR, or funds Ukraine war funding should be ousted. So my question is, we’re about to have speaker Mike Johnson pass the CR. And he is talking about passing mega, mega Ukraine funding.”
But sour grapes Greene wasn’t done complaining about Mike Johnson…
She then whined that it’s Johnson’s fault that her motion to censure Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for attending a peaceful pro Israel-Palestinian ceasefire protest outside of the White House, which Greene shamelessly called “an insurrection,” flopped miserably and ended up leaving her humiliated. Greene complained that Speaker Johnson “didn’t whip votes for it” and “told people to vote their conscience,” which in her eyes means that he “was not supportive of it.”
Then, Greene shamelessly declared that Congresswoman Tlaib should be treated “like Trump” has been treated for inciting the deadly January 6 insurrection — even though the protest that Tlaib attended was a peaceful protest — and Trump’s violent insurrection sent over 140 Capitol Officers to the hospital and even led to multiple deaths and sent hundreds of members of Congress cowering under their seats and running for their lives.
Clearly, she’s upset because nobody in America takes her seriously — not even the members of Congress in her own party.
The House said how Tlaib was antisemitic. Are you okay? Are you having problems today?
So you’re saying the House of Representatives is reliable? They also said your hero Trump was a crook worthy of impeachment :lol. Can’t have it both ways.

It's an anti-Jewish trope that means the removal and annihilation of Jews between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean (which is the entirety of Israel). Anyone under the sun knows what this means, but this terrorist sympathizer actually said it's a call for peace. :oldlol:

pro-palestinians don't help further their cause by intentionally provoking jewish people with a slogan like this.
the irony is the mass majority of people that take precious time outta their day to go "protest" are acting purely on emotions and have little knowledge on the subject in question. they thrive on confrontation.

The House said how Tlaib was antisemitic. Are you okay? Are you having problems today?
So because the The House said it, it means it's reliable huh? :oldlol: Let me remind you how they can't be trusted at all times. I'll refresh your memory here with more recent examples
1. Jan 6th attack on the capital: There was false information about the seriousness of what happened, making it seem less violent than it really was. Some stories even incorrectly described the riot as a peaceful protest or claimed that it was just left-wing activists trying to make Trump look bad. Wasn't true. Anyone watching saw how violent and out of control it got, and it resulted in 5 deaths and numerous injuries.
2. Lies about the 2020 Election being stolen: Many Republican lawmakers and Trump himself advanced the unsubstantiated claim that the November 2020 presidential election was stolen due to widespread voter fraud. This led to a large portion of Republican voter base to think that the election's outcome was illegitimate, despite a lack of evidence to support widespread fraud claims. This claim has been debunked by various courts, state election officials, and the Department of Justice
3. 12 Republicans in the House of Representatives voted against a resolution to honor the police officers who defended the Capitol during the January 6 riot. One of the reasons cited for opposing the resolution was an objection to the use of the word “insurrection” to describe the incident
4. Representative Adam Kinzinger, a Republican from Illinois, has been vocal in his criticism of attempts by some of his colleagues to rewrite the history of the Capitol attack. He condemned the spread of misinformation regarding the events of January 6 as a "dangerous, disgusting spin on reality" and criticized the failure of many within the Republican Party to challenge these false narratives
Tons of more examples of The House being unreliable.
Also this measure to censure Rashida Tlaib was introduced by none other than Marjorie Taylor Greene who is one of the scummiest politicians in the US right now. Tlaib also said herself that she's proud to stand in solidarity with Jewish peace advocate calling for a ceasefire and an end to violence. She wasn't being anti-semitic.

but the phrase specifically alludes to the land that is currently inhabited by israel.
if she is demanding freedom IN israel, then that's ridiculous because palestinians already have freedom in israel.
if she is demanding freedom FROM israel, that would require israel giving up control of the territory.
so which is it?

So in your mind it was justified to establish an ethnostate and push people out of their homes into an open air prison? :facepalm And they should just accept it and not want it returned to a secular state with freedom of movement? Don't use "Jewish" as a synonym for Israel's government, either and ethnostates are bad period regardless of what ethnicity they are founded off. Do you really think most Jews support the kind of rhetoric you're pushing? That forcing people out of their homes and making them second class citizens at best and concentration camp inmates at worst is justified? Because I can tell you the vast majority of Jews I've encountered feel much closer to my side of the argument than yours. Hell the MAJORITY OF ISRAELI JEWS oppose Netanyahu. Not Jews worldwide, Jews in Israel. Netanyahu is a fringe lunatic who does not speak for Jews.

you are dodging the argument at hand. either you think israel has claim to the land or you don't. clearly you don't, which means you are perfectly fine with whatever measure hamas takes to wipe them out... including the beheading of children and the rape and torture of innocent civillians.
"from the river to the sea" is 100% a call to wipe out the jewish state. if you don't want to call it a jewish state then that's on you, but it is still a call to wipe out israel and take the territory from them.
don't sit there and play dumb and say the palestinians only want peace. they want israel gone. the sooner you accept that, the faster we can move on.

Jews have a right to live wherever they want just like anyone else, I never denied that. No one has a right to force people off their land and engage in apartheid. Tlaib and others want the Israeli government eliminated, not the Israeli people. They are not one and the same, can your pea brain seriously not comprehend that? Stop speaking about Palestinians as a monolith. Most of them do want peace, you keep using Hamas as an excuse to justify your hatred of them. As awful as Hamas are they are not the aggressor in this conflict either.

we can play the blame game until the end of time, doesn't solve things. it doesn't really matter who started the fight at this point. making peace means accepting the past and moving on.
weird though. you claim that hamas is awful, and that most palestinians just want peace, yet i don't see many of them condeming hamas or demanding that they surrender. that to me sounds like the quickest path to peace at this given moment.
clearly it isn't peace that they want. you just refuse to accept this for some autistic reason.

It's not a war, it's an ongoing genocide. Hamas was retaliating for prior attacks by the IDF. Yes it was wrong of Hamas to target civilians, no arguments there. But they did not start this conflict.

there's this. keep in mind these numbers should be taken with a grain of salt due to where they're sourced from (hamas), but believe it or not their numbers have been proven to be mostly accurate in the past.
regardless, you can only fudge numbers so much when you're tallying up this high of am amount and the bottom line should be that this kind collective punishment should not be considered as acceptable. it only feeds the 'idea' of hamas... because it's not just a people but an idea.
