He's old. This is news? MJ and Kareem weren't elite at 38 either. The fact that he's still allstar worthy is remarkable. He won't be moved but most contenders would trade their third star for him.

As a Celtics fan, would you trade Jrue Holiday for him?

No but that's because of how he fits in with the team vs. how Holiday fits. Celtics don't need another star wing and would miss Holiday's defense and shooting. But Milwaukee would be much better if they had James instead of Middleton, James would be able to run point guard for the Suns better than Beal, and is really better than whoever you want to call the third-best Warrior. And also an upgrade over Tobias hair for Philly. Would not be as good of a fit for Denver as Aaron Gordon but he's a better player overall.

assuming he's on the floor enough for it to matter which isn't very likely

That's another issue but I'm of the opinion that James would be durable enough if the Lakers weren't using him like the franchise player he used to be. A team that could still have a good record while playing him 25 to 30 minutes and giving him 20+ games off would reap the benefits of a healthy James in the postseason. He just shouldn't be asked to carry a team for a whole season.

This is kind of another false narrative going around with Lebron.

The fact is he WANTS to play a lot of MPG regardless of how good his team is. Lakers could have the one seed or be in last place...either way Lebron wants be on the court if he is suiting up. Not saying he wants to hardcore carry an average team all year...but he is getting his minutes in for sure. If Lebron's body only allows him to play 25 to 30 minutes per game then he is going to retire.

supposedly they want to limit him to 29 minutes a game. Not sure if that's been the case or not
