Cristiano Ronaldo built a museum of himself when he was age 28.

Like I implied, those are also huge museums that you could spend all day in. Do people really think you'll be in that museum for longer then an hour? I guess maybe you'll see some Lebron memorabilia, but that's probably it?
Millenia old artifacts s well as documents and technology instrumental to the development of human civilisation.. or.... 2016 Lebron Cavs jersey

What if the museum included things like his Miami Batman mask, hair transplant bills, game-worn jockstraps, and the hitman contract on Delonte West? I think $23 is worth it for those.

Does The Louvre have an entire wing dedicated to hair transplants? Didn’t think so.

The propaganda coming from LeBron post retirement is going to be on another level. In 30 years he's going to claim he invented basketball.

I hate to agree with you but it's 100% true
Klutch Sports will go into overdrive trying to make LeBron seem like the greatest ever (and that will ever be)
Hell, when he announces retirement, he will demand a huge retirement tour than the ones MJ and Kobe got

What’s going to be the worst is his version of The Last Dance, where he tries to dramatize some aspect of his career over 12+ episodes. He’s followed MJ’s blueprint in so many other aspects that this is a given. Expect a cringe fest.

this is actually what's so off putting about Lebron. He's too involved in constantly wanting to shape and mold how the public perceives him. And I get that every public figure has a hand in how they are perceived by the public...but Lebron's is heavy handed in a way that it shouldn't for a global icon like him. It just gives vibes of "i'm not content with people just thinking what they think of me; i have to shape their opinion of me."
And I know someone is inevitably going to try to dunk on me with "but jordan and the last dance." Yes- but it also came like 20+ years after he was out of the game--and Jordan's relative silence and reclusiveness really helps because when he does stuff like the last dance, it just feels like a glimpse into his psyche rather than a constant barrage of jordan self aggrandizing himself to us and assaulting the senses.

I hope one day scientists get to study Lebron's brain. He is one of the strangest figures in the world to me. Freakishly ambitious yet self-conscious. Extremely hard-working and diligent in both his craft and his image control.
Jordan was a psycho because he wanted to crush anyone who was unworthy of greatness, and stand on top of the ashes with a cigar in his mouth.
Lebron is a psycho because he wants a sanitized, idealized version of himself to live forever, beyond basketball.
