He's running an explosive pace-and-space offense over there in Indiana. His numbers are pretty crazy right now and Indiana is winning. We're only about 1/10 into the season but this a guy who could be the sleeper MVP pick.

- 8 games played
- 32.8 minutes per game
- 23.6 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 11.6 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.6 bpg, 2.6 topg
- 59.2% 2PT, 40.0% 3PT, 94.3% FT, 64.5% TS
- +15.1 on/off

Indiana 2023-24:
- 6-3 record
- 2.3 SRS
- 121.5 offensive rating (#1 in the league)

I don't know if they are going to give an MVP to a player who is going out in the first round.

Comatose. I'm not a hater but he would be arguably the worst player we've ever seen win the award. And of course, it's way too early for this conversation.

Got to get it in early so I can say "I called it" if it happens.

Jokic. And if he doesn't get it he was robbed. Again.

Nah. MVP is 95% going to Jokic. Tyrese, like Ant, will both end up in top 10 in MVP voting but unless they take a leap from where they are playing right now they wont have a realistic shot to win this year.

100% top 10 but no chance of winning

No chance. Jokic is the massive favorite, Embiid second and then a large gap between outliers like Steph, Luka and Tatum if their team has a great record. Outside of that, nobody else has a realistic shot. Pacers, Wolves, etc aren't going to have a high enough record to be relevant throughout the second half of the season.

No but you can’t name a better point guard outside of Curry and Luka. And why is Luka considered a point guard anyway he doesn’t guard points ever. It’s like if LeBron had been labeled a point guard.

sleeper pick if jokic and embiid get injured. he's emerging though, so i don't expect many to give him his flowers just yet. but i see what he's doing and i like it. i also cry myself to sleep thinking our dumbass GM passed up on him for jalen ****ing smith :facepalm suns fans want to use all the mental gymnastics in the world but the truth is we desperately needed a PG then and now. it was such an obvious pick that you have to be a total fcking mouthbreather to pass up on him.

he can become a starter/good role player but that doesn't excuse passing up a position of need. and to make things worse, james jones ended up trading him anyway. he hates young players. we don't have any rookies and our scouting team is barebones bc this team doesn't believe in developing young players which is ultra retarded bc it will bite us in the ass later down the line.

Only probable if he leads his team to a high seed by the end of the season, which seems unlikely.

Halliburton is legit and the Pacers are good, real good.

Young, deep, skilled and hungry. And god do they play fast. I predict they will be a top 3 seed and surprise everyone.

Brown and Toppin have been excellent additions and fit in perfectly.

Toppin and Halliburton are a dangerous combination with their combined skill sets.

@OP

Kevin Martin had so many novembers where he was top 3-5 in the league in scoring.

Don’t get too excited.

I like Halliburton, but this is recency bias x coca!ne delusion x poor judgement x 8-game sample size.

Pump them brakes man.

American players who go play FIBA ball always come back and have breakout seasons.

If you can survive at the highest level, that is FIBA, then you can thrive in the NBA where the competition is easier.

Haliburton was a good prediction.

Is it realistic to say Halliburton is better than Luka now from purely efficiency stand point?
