Let me get the obligatory “Its too early to judge” out of the way because it absolutely is. I’m just surprised to see anything positive out of there so fast

Yes he's a good coach. Players love him.

Imagine if he doesn't sleep with employees, what he can establish in 3-5 years.

Sure looks like it. Beyond just the result I liked what he did during Boston’s run to the finals. Seemed to have a good handle on what buttons to push when during the playoffs.

Rockets are a big surprise, altho in some ways they shouldnt be. They did bring in a couple vets in VanVleet and Brooks, theyve got a big time center prospect with a couple years under his belt now. They added the third pick in last year’s draft.

The question is do they WANT to be winning right now? Itll be kinda funny if theyre contending for a playoff spot but still trade VanVleet for picks in order to “trust the process.”

Yes but that's based on what he did in Boston. A true shame he couldn't keep himself in check, nothing against Mazzulla but the Celtics wasted a year on him learning the ropes when they should have been winning it all. At this point we all sort of know why he got fired and the thought of it is frustrating.

High draft picks and big money on vets. They should be expected to do something

Yes he can. But the improvements are not just him. Rockets wanted to lose more than any other team in recent years. They tanked disgustingly. They didn't use their best player(Al-P) properly, their coach was all time bad(Silas) and they had no vets in the squad. It was a kindergarten. Brooks and FVV are also major additions since they are 2nd and 3rd best players on the team. But yeah i actually think he is a top 5 coach in the league and that was my opinion when he was at Boston too.

He’s good but this is more of an indictment of how bad Silas was benching sengun and running the offense through porter lol. Fvv is overpaid but very good at basketball Dillon has completely transformed his shot selection at least for now

Orlando is respectable with some good young talent. I don't know if Griffin is good or bad but Milwaukee lost much of their defensive identity when they traded Holiday and with Lillaird missing games that makes everything worse. Also Middleton isn't full strength yet.
