The team needs Embiid more atm. A better question can be asked if age and playing style is taken into account. The way Embiid plays he may not have more than 5 years in his prime. Maxey definitely seems to have more than that. So do you want 5 years from Embiid if you are a 6er fan or 10 from Maxey? I'd still go with Embiid I think, but he has to step up in the playoffs. Embiid playing well is a serious contender. A Maxey-type guard is nice to have but he is no MJ.

Maxey will never be 'that' guy', ever. He's a 3rd option at best and will be lucky to be the 2nd option on a title team. He's a good player, but he's not good enough to lead a team. Any sixer fan is delusional if they think he's anything better.
