was at the casino last night with friends. we hung out in the sports book for a bit. one of my friends doesn't watch as much basketball as he used to. huge fan in his younger days but is more of a casual now.

we are watching the warriors-cavs game on one of the screens. he says to us "oh wow draymond green got traded"?

we look at him like he's crazy of course, but then you watch the game and to a casual fan there is no indication that the golden state warriors are even playing. the court is black and the home team is wearing black jerseys that read "san francisco". he saw draymond and just assumed he was playing on a different team.

you could be a smartass and say well of course it's golden state because it says san francisco, but not everyone is going to put it together that fast. at the end of the day you have a team on a black court wearing black uniforms that says something other than warriors or golden state.

i have to admit that as a hardcore fan, it does trigger my autism my a bit. i know in the grand scheme of things it's not a huge deal, but the optics of the games have become so ugly and confusing. teams have 10 different uniforms now in various colors and styles and 10 different courts. no more standard identity. you can't just put the game on and know who's playing right away in an instant like you used to.

They are making money so, no. Autism explains a lot.

I was just thinking of how gray Draymond's beard has gotten.

I think they’re trying to habitualize us so they can transfer to plastering the uniforms with corporate sponsors.

It does bother me some. Warriors uniforms were both ugly and had nothing to do with the team.
