with my age , it would be easy to pop the door of the frig reach in get a beer or glass of wine , and eat away.

I have a pretty severe back issue , so I have hit the gym , and targeted exercises that help my lungs and raise my back.
(eliminate the pain in the back)

I work out 3-4 times a week at the gym for about 5 sets and out in about 30 minutes.

What about you ??

The bare minimum every man should shoot for is 1-2 hours, 3 times a week. (double this if including legs, core, and cardio)

and then on top of that there is diet... 1 gram of protein for every pound you weigh.... everyday.

The best way to grow muscle is to lifting until failure... which is painful, but it's the best way to build.

if you do not hate working out... you probably won't see the results you had hoped for.

4-5x a week at the gym. Workout typically lasts 50 min - 1 hr & 10 min.

I currently follow a push/pull/legs split. On push day I'll hit chest/shoulders/triceps. Pull day I hit back/biceps, and leg day I'll alternate between a quad focused day and hamstring focused. I rest a day and then I start the split all over again.

Although it was tedious at times, I noticed a big difference in my physique once I started counting my calories and macros. It made me realize that I wasn't getting nearly enough protein, and that I was probably going over my baseline caloric intake most days. Once I became more careful with what I ate, I made some serious gains. It's a lifestyle now

I'd say 1-2 reps before failure is optimal, and this is as long as your form is correct and that you're not lifting extremely heavy to the point where you're ego-lifting.

8-12 reps for hypertrophy
4-6 reps for strength with a heavier weight that you can handle

Jasper is in his early to mid 80s. He's even talked about his mother's cooking all the way back in the 1940s. And how he poured ketchup on it.

Someone already created a similar thread a couple of weeks ago. The agenda of this thread is for Jasper to repeatedly mention that he's 65, to mislead people.

No one do this consistently. Don't listen to this absolutely horrible advice.

About 3-4 times a week. Plus playing sports throughout the week as well.
