Rumors are saying that he was mountain biking which is not allowed during the NBA season. So he tried to cover it with that Hit-and-Run story.

Everyone knows he has always been a bit 'off beat' to phrase it. No team wanted him by late summer, the Sixers were the only team to show interest . So no matter what happens the haven't lost anything by having him.

It shouldn't be understated how seamless he has integrated with the team and the Nurse system. For years and years all the Sixers needed was an athletic player that is solid on D and will not hesitate to shoot a three or take it straight to the hoop. They have been desperate for this with offense revolving around slow ass decision makers like Joel and Tobias and the retard that wouldn't shoot. They have had guys like Curry and Niang but they are hardly 2 way players or athletic.

Looks like Batum could be back for good now that the drama with his wife is over, he should start the rest of the year. If Oubre can come back and find some consistency and keep ip the effort he has shown so far this season he could get 6MOTY and a big contract somewhere next season.

Realisticy anything he contributes is way beyond any expectation anyone had before the season tho.

That's fair. If all you need is an athlete who doesn't think too much, but plays hard and with a modicum of skill, Oubre fits the bill. I just don't really believe in any team that has to play a perimeter player big minutes that can't be trusted to make quick decisions with decent court IQ.
