What is wrong with requiring ID to vote? Do minorities not carry IDs? I don't understand, help please. Serious, not trolling. Because it sounds incredibly racist to suggest that they don't.
And if you're worried about gerrymandering I'm pretty sure they're all trying to do it.

Voter Id needs to be a national law.

strong right wingers stated when Biden was president , gas prices were no where near when dumpster was president.
today I paid $2.8x a gallon.
speak up , why so ??
I guess all these minorities don't have children in school. When I picked up my kids at school for any appointment, I had to show ID. How do you think they register them in school, get on a plane, go in any of the major hospitals, get a library card, basically function in society? Why not for voting? Election boards should just trust your word when schools, airlines, hospitals, libraries, etc don't?

With the fact that he posts at least 30-40 yahoo links a day, there is no way the OP even reads those articles himself. He must be only posting these links for monetary reasons.

Sure it is.
The article says a whole lot about nothing with way too many words but the three core issues it's talking about are as follows:
1) Voter ID law requirements.
2) Redistricting aka gerrymandering.
3) Who is legally allowed to legally challenge potential discriminatory voting practices, which basically amounts to talking about #1 and #2.
While #3 seems to be the primary subject of the article, #3 is revolving around #1 and #2.
I'm pretty sure you didn't read the article or at the very least didn't understand it. Voter ID laws are not racist. In fact, it's highly racist to suggest that they are.
Gerrymandering very well may be racist in certain instances but in 2023 I'm pretty sure it's just mainly about an attempt to swing the vote in favor of people who share your world view, not to suppress minorities specifically although this certainly may have been a thing in the past. And I'm pretty sure both political parties do it.

Listen, dopey.
The article is about citizens ability to protect their civil rights in the court system under the Voting Rights Act.
It's about the legislative PROCESS related to Voting Rights, REGARDLESS of what side of voting rights issues you stand on. It's about the ability to even have those issues legislated one way or the other in the first place.
The morons in here trying to distract from the core issue of what the article is discussing by politicizing an issue related to it is a classic conservative clown tactic.
