To me Brown has become the 5th most important player in that team after Tatum, Porzingis, White, and Jrue and he's about to be paid like a franchise player.

Not sure who they can get for him though.

Too late. They gave him the max in the offseason.

If Boston has to match up with Orlando in the postseason that contract is going to look even uglier.

Fascinating theory but, no. He works well with Porzingis and in fact the whole starting unit is great together. In theory the main concern is a bruising big but so far the team has handled Giannis and Embiid well enough. Drastic changes are for teams that don't have the best record in the NBA. I'm not even sure the Celtics have a loss with the whole starting five intact.

I'll give you Lavine for him.

All depends what you could get for him.

Some nights he looks like the best player in the building, other nights he looks like a brick and turnover machine.

The C’s are all pretty young outside of Jrue, I dont think its a must they make a move this year. If you get an amazing offer take it, if not its fine to see how the playoffs go and then decide if this lineup is gonna work.

Problem is, both him and tatum have the same boneheaded offensive tendencies. They easily lose the ball on the drive, only look to score 1v1, no great offball movement and game, too much dribbling and slow decision making, and they both go missing in clutch moments.

Worst AllNBA teammates of all time. The real reason they made 4 conference finals is that they bought tickets.

guess you don't realize he is the heart of Celtic bball. Tatum plays hero ball , after Brown has gotten the team a 10+ point lead.

Pretty much the opposite of Banchero and Wagner.

no reason why Jrue Holiday can't push the tempo with this team

That’s great, look forward to reaching the conf finals as peak achievement in the next 4 years.

Haven't watched any games but from what I've read he's a more mobile version of Dirk on offense (with better passing/playmaking/finishing)... and flashes elite defensive prowess as a rim protector with potential to be elite as a help defender and perimeter defender.

Is this correct?

Weakness: small frame (can be bullied by stronger players on D), consistent takeover ability on offense

Is this right?

Except that they have been to the Finals. And they're at the start of their prime years. You don't blow up a young core for making the conference finals with regularity. You build the team up and get all you can out of their best years. The day after they got rid of Brown to satisfy people that have no idea what they're talking about they would be looking for an SG that can score and defend multiple positions. There's no sense to your post.
