Giannis is the one player that would be hurt the most out of any NBA player if he was reffed as he should. The problem is the NBA needs manufactured hype and thus they do what they can. Happened with Ja two seasons ago. Shai right now gets FT if anyone even breaths near him.

if you're trying to pack on weight, I'd suggest mellons, such as the likes of Pumpkins, if you're trying to lose weight, it's just granola based.
the twice baked potato might even pass as vegetarian dog meat

By FAR.
And I like G on a personal level. But it’s just hard to hear people talk about how he’s like, I dunno, Top 30 all time, and if he does x or y he could be top 15!
I mean I guess you could say that if you wanna specify “NBA player” since he plays in a league that currently lets him bulldoze and travel, if the measurement is purely NBA effectiveness I guess you can make your case.
But to call him a top 30 or whatever basketball player? In terms of being good at the game the way it was obviously intended to be played?
That’s an insult to a lotta guys out there…

How was it obviously meant to be played because the way they play now is totally different than the game I grew up playing?
thats his game
played them in the playoffs a few times
he's a center playing bully ball against wings
ugly but it works. if he has the motor to keep it up all game then why not. the rules let him do it.
it gets exposed against elite defenders or elite defensive teams. thats why he needed jrue and kris to bail him out and why he needs dame now. its very much a mini shaq and kobe duo.

The league manufactures parity through this because they've learned to not put all their eggs iinto one basket after the ratings cratered post MJ.
That's why actual GOAT-tier offensive players like LeBron, Curry or Jokic don't get the whistle while the players a tier or two below like Embiid, Giannis or Harden do.

the only time Giannis would never get calls if he played in Jordans era , when players would get slapped , or pounded , and never get a call.
He wins two more titles he is most definitely a top 20 of all time. If not top 15.
name a player in history , or currently that has his game ??

Because players weren't meant to take 3 steps and be awarded free points for initiating contact on offense.

He's literally shot more FTs than entire teams roster combined in some of his biggest playoff games. And it's not like it's hack a Shaq intentional fouling... he slams into dudes and they get penalized for taking a beating. It's probably the most backwards officiated player of all time and is absolutely logic defying. They know if they don't let him get calls like that though his offensive game would crumble and they'd lose ratings and money.

Giannis travels all over the damn court. Watch how he’s reffed in FIBA which is more true to the sport now a days and less a billion dollar entertainment conglomerate. He’s borderline a shell of the player he is in the NBA at best.

I mean since 2018 or 2019, you could say the same thing about LeBron, TBH. Only difference is LeBron unlike Giannis does at least have good court vision, passing, and even ball handling skills by comparison. LBJ looks like Kobe compared to Giannis in terms of skill set.

Absolutely, but at least nobody considers Embiid as the top players in the league. He's rightfully in that second tier.

Get off his pecker you bozo. Giannis gets the most help out of anyone in the entire league. What makes it worse is that at least with Embiid he has to work harder to earn it in the playoffs, Giannis just gets pathetic whistles all the time. Him and Embiid would both be borderline top 10 players in the league if they were reffed properly. Both have some of the ugliest game in the entire league and somehow that bald head cvnt decided that's who he wants to push forward to the market. :facepalm

It's pathetic. He's committing fouls all the time and the refs have the audacity to put him in the FT line all the time. What makes it so disgraceful is that they do this in the playoffs, where most players at least don't get the benefit as much. That's discounting the pathetic amount of traveling this guy commits on a regular basis that isn't called.
What happened to Ja?
He's got the fastest first step in the league and yet the league allowed him to carry and travel making it almost impossible to guard him. They do this all the time with stars to manufacture hype, and it's disgusting. Shai is the next guard Silver has his eyes on, it's pathetic the amount of FT he gets for people just breathing on him.

Lebron does get a similar whistle trucking defenders and having them get called for a foul but like you said Lebron actually has very good basketball skill. He may not be a great shooter but he's had years shooting like 40% from 3 and his form is nice.

It's honestly impossible to guard Giannis the way he throws wild violent knees and elbows as he charges the rim. You're basically facing felony level aggravated assault everytime you try and stay in front. And of course they let these guys take 3-4 steps so even if you do get perfectly square in front he can just sidestep you and jump into you sideways and they call it a blocking foul. It's literally impossible to guard him how they ref the game. Only Miami was able to do it but they had to get 3-4 guys in front so he couldn't euro step truck through them.
Lebron doesn't really throw bows or knees. He just lowers his shoulder. Which is more acceptable imo, that's how you back defenders down traditionally.
I think of Giannis and Luka on opposite ends of the spectrum with a combination (Giannis/physical, Luka/Bball talent) of the 2 as the perfect basketball player.

Perfect? No. But that would be a version of LeBron. Perfect player in today’s game would be a 6’10 Michael Jordan.
:blah
No u. Now stop being such a petty asshole, will you? Thank you.
Anyways, don't have a problem with him playing well so far. And that's also expected with his team atm since they've been blessed with good picks recently.

re: Lebron - I disagree - Lebron didn't have the natural talent Luka has - especially early on. Back then, no shooting skill - keep him out of the paint and he was ineffective (that's what Bowen and Duncan did in 2007 finals).
I agree with a little taller version today, but the 6'6" MJ was a near perfect package in his time.

I've spoken about this. See:
http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?514432-The-quot-Euro-Pass-quot
The NBA allows natural movements to the hoop. For example, an unnatural movement is if I am throwing haymakers with my non-dribbling hand. That's an offensive foul. A natural movement is bringing my elbows up as I'm about to shoot. If you're in the way when I go through a natural shooting motion, that's a defensive foul on you.
Giannis has an exaggerated Euro-step where he is swinging his elbows wildly and initiating contact. That is NOT a natural movement. To the extent he initiates contact, it should be a no-call or an offensive foul.
This is an obvious thing to people watching the game, but he is covered by the "Euro Pass (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?514432-The-quot-Euro-Pass-quot)" which stipulates that European players are entitled to their own set of rules, as immigrants, whose behaviors are different than ours, so we cannot judge them.

BTW I've never understood why is it that Giannis doesn't get called a dirty player? Aside from Pat Bev and Draymond, I can't really think of anyone who's committed more dirty/reckless plays in the NBA than him.
In my eyes, whenever I see him play all I think is "dude is an injury waiting to happen for everyone else on the court", yet almost nobody calls him dirty.
I still remember when he tried to push Booker out of his dunk while mid-air, not even trying to make a play for a ball... that shit was so dangerous, it's a miracle Booker managed to grab the rim tight enough to keep his balance. Only reason that wasn't an injury was because he grabbed onto that rim, let's be real. If he didn't then it would have been an ugly scene.

if u r moving while the offensive player is moving it is a foul.
Shaq would back down a player and run over him lik a train and was never called ... player was just standing there... (that was a foul IMO)
