Selling to an Israeli casino tycoon(well widow of casino tycoon) worth like 30 billion in a deal that values the Mavs at 3.5 Billion or so. How he’s keeping control I don’t know but I’m sure it will be covered.

Some suspect he’s gonna be someone’s vice presidential candidate or run for senate in Texas.

I have no idea what the rules are so don’t think I’m saying it can actually happen because I’ve not looked into it but Mark Cuban as a third-party candidate in a senate race in Texas would swing the results wildly wouldn’t he?

Would Cruz win if Cuban took 10 percent of the vote? Where would his voters even come from?

The idea a billionaire would sell his team to become even more billions richer, and then run for Congress is strange to me.

Congress is mostly full of people trying to increase their wealth and connections to the elite. Not people who are already there.

I know occasionally you get an independently wealthy guy like Ross Perot to run on a third party, but that was before social media, and Perot was not a highly visible public figure, so if he wanted to get a message out that was his opportunity. Cuban really doesnt need to be a politician to reach the public. And if he wants to influence policy he can just do it with his money instead of actually having to be in Washington.

So the prospect of him running for office seems like kind of an odd thing to me.
