Xiao is right on this one. Lavine will have great stats when it doesn't matter, but when the Bulls need a win, if it's an important game, or it's a close game in crunch time, he shrivels up. He doesn't step up when it counts. And his defense is terrible. The Bulls aren't gettting anywhere with him - that should be abundantly clear by now.

Xiao is right on this one. Lavine will have great stats when it doesn't matter, but when the Bulls need a win, if it's an important game, or it's a close game in crunch time, he shrivels up. He doesn't step up when it counts. And his defense is terrible. The Bulls aren't gettting anywhere with him - that should be abundantly clear by now.
As far as clutchness goes hes average, he had some game winners here and there scattered between many more misses. But this is the case for every player. Not being clutch is not "empty stats". His defense is average too, not terrible.

Put Lavine on a team with a real star or two (say the Sixers or the Heat) and they turn into a title favorite. Same as it was with Love and a bunch of others.

Derozan and Vucevic are also 2nd tier stars, same as Lavine but he is a bit better than him so thats why people expect him to be the main star. Not being good enough to be main star IS NOT EQUAL to empty stats. There are nuances here, but what would you know about it. If you diont have anything original or substantive to add to the conversation, just stfu.
