Lets say you take a player today, give him 3 months to train for the different rules, and then put him at the start of '92 season. Pick any team lost in the first round that season.

Who'd you pick if you want the best chance to win the championship?

Joel or Nikola because they're great post-up players.

Jokic is the first and obvious choice.

jokic would be having bitchfits 24/7 in the 90s and wouldn't get nearly the same whistles as he does today. not to mention he'd have actual competition in the post, shaq would ragdoll him and make him his prison b1tch.

Jokic 100%

Jokic's lack of athleticism would enable him to be even better in the 90s, just sit around the paint on defence without being dragged out on pick and rolls.

He might even get a few all-defensive selections in the 90s from being a big body sitting in the paint.

Jokic is actually the type of guy that could defend Shaq. Like when the Jazz were sweeping him out of the playoffs in the 90s with guys like this guarding him.

Shaq used to beat up on skinny mutumbo, Todd mccaluogh and a gay guy Jason Collins. (no offense) Jokic is like 300lbs and extremely sturdy, not a guy you're gonna bully.

And on offense how is Shaq guarding Jokic @30 feet from the hoop with his sniper shooting and passing? That would be a joke. Yolks efficiency would kill him especially with his 45% foul shooting.

I think an uninjured Lonzo would be dedly.

most teams don't even have a competent 5 today...the 90s was the era of great centers. there's a misconception of jokic that he's "tough" bc there's a picture floating around where someone scratched him with a nail and he shed blood and all of a sudden he's "tough" dude loves to bully the manlets like 6'8 morris but won't do sh1t against someone his size or bigger. it's funny how every confrontation has always been againstt someone much smaller. :oldlol:

Jokic is a 300lb guy. He's way heavier than Robinson or Hakeem types who are ironically the exact guys who would give him trouble due to their quickness. Shaq otoh wouldn't be able to play bully ball to the extent it would outpace Jokics tremendous 3pt shooting, FT shooting, passing, spacing, and general offensive orchestration ability. Guy is a 300 lb 7 foot Larry Bird. And the perfect antidote to shaqs bully ball.

Obviously Jokic has the alpha b ball IQ too.

But yeah defensively Jokic and Ostertag are similar white boy behemoths. Lol.

being able to make a layup was pretty important in the 90's
