the cars are looking money as far as accuracy though. i already spotted a ram pickup and a old school box caprice coupe. cop cars look a lot more like crown vics than they did in past titles too.

I didn't like 5. Failing that car chase early in the game a few times and having to sit through that ****ing edgelord talking like he's the hardest gangster of all time drove me crazy. I completed that part then later got pissed off at the controls while I couldn't do some shit (a guy had a boat hitched to his car and I had to get it or something). The story and characters did not impress me, although to be fair I didn't give it much of a chance. Maybe I'm getting old, maybe I have too much class (it's likely that)... but give me the option of not listening to some ****ing idiot struggling to speak English while he disses the shit out of everything. There's no point at all having to see that again before restarting whatever it was that was going on. I don't understand why they put a checkpoint at that spot and it instantly ruined the fun. I was set on finding Big Foot and everything before this and a few other things happened.

So needless to say I don't care about this game very much even though the trailer looks cool. If it's the LeBron of games so be it.

otoh, the attention to fine detail in this trailer is insane. the devs really went out of their way to top anything and everything off. with that in mind, it's hard to believe the release date is so far off.

Rockstar always delivers with their games. They killed it with RDR 2 and GTA V was a massive hit, although the gameplay could've been better.

I know GTA 6 is going be insanely massive and will feel a lot more immersive, but I'm really hoping there's more enterable buildings/homes. GTA V lacked in that department.

Taken over? The game industry has always been tech minded liberals. The game is too violent and crazy for any political stances to be taken seriously, but I do think politics will surround this game as conservatives will blame it for mass shootings and whatnot and demand it be removed from shelves.

I'm not sure I'd agree completely. A lot of the OG developers were passionate incel real/true nerd types. Not the cheap hipster modern knock-offs. The guys that made games back in the day weren't necessarily the corporate types you see now. The industry was built up by dudes who rarely had sex or went outside. And then the business graduates came into the fold.

PS5 is better than both tbh. I'm a little biased because I've always had PlayStation. PS5 in general has been fantastic for gameplay performance and has better exclusives. Xbox Series X has more power and better hardware than the S. If you're leaning on Xbox to play GTA 6 on, I'd definitely pick Series X.

Looks like they carried over many of the cars from the previous installment and they'll definitely add newer ones. However, that's only one part of the game. While the graphics are already impressive, there's also the story, gameplay, characters, features and what more. What i'm really hoping for this time tho is a better customization for cars lol.

I'm excited about this, but gotta admit, I'm not crazy about the Miami location. I dont think it really worked in Vice City. Gta should be dark and gritty, not bright and sunny.

I hope the map has plenty of ground outside the city.

x vs s - depends on your setup. from what i understand, if you're gaming on a 4k tv, you want the x. still on 1080p, go for the s. series x has more storage space.

ps5 vs xbox - it really just comes down to game exclusives and controller preference.

ps5 seems to be the console of choice for whatever reason. ps5 pro is rumored to be released in q4 2024 so you may want to wait if you go the sony route. the pro will support higher resolutions and frame rates.

If you're going to go the Xbox route, the Series X has been $349 on Amazon and Walmart several times since last week. The Series S retails for $299-$349( two different models, the OG white model with 512GB SSD and a new black variant with 1TB SSD), but you can find them on sale for usually $50 off that. But if you can find a Series X for like $100 more than what you can find the S for? Absolutely go for the X, especially under $400.

As for PS5 vs Xbox in general, it comes down to your preferred exclusives but I don't think either one of them have been particularly outstanding so far this gen ( Sony has the edge with something like Spider-man 2, but alot of their games this gen are also cross-platform with PS4). The list of PS5 exclusives is pretty small. Xbox though, has really been pretty weak in that regard. Bought up lots of studios to pad out gamepass but while there are some good games on their roster, none of them I'd call system sellers ( and that depends on taste, of course). But if you're fine with subscribing to Gamepass you get a ton of games including their own exclusives day one.

Frankly, the best gaming device I've bought in the last 5 years is the Steam Deck. Love that thing...

It wouldn't surprise me if it was longer than that. Something like Read Dead Redemption 2 came out nearly two years later on PC than the consoles, ditto for GTAV. Rockstar will put the PC version far enough out of reach to encourage double-dipping, because there's no reason otherwise for them to not day and date it with PS5/Xbox Series.

Tho obvious since then, the best thing that the pc version can bring to players of this game are always the mods. Which can also include several contents from gta online. And if they want to play it on the go, they can even choose to download the game and install it on powerful handhelds. Like the steam deck, rog ally and the like. If they have one of those and granting it can be optimized to run smoothly on them but for sure, it can eat a lot of disk space in that kind of setup.
