The pace the Pacers play it feels like there’s high potential for 150 to 135 game either way but I just want to see it close at the end. I want a one shot game so I can see somebody take a shot for half a million and see teammate reactions when he misses it. D’Angelo Russell was in an interview already talking about what he wants to do with the money. He’s going to pay for his All-Star break and off-season trips with it if they win.

And he’s one that’s already rich as hell. Imagine some of the young guys. The watch party for some of the friends and families must be crazy right now. I feel like once it gets bought for exclusive presentation on some streaming network(YouTube wanted it last I read) Sponsorship can bump the pay up to an even million. Someone not playing defense and what is essentially a pick up game for a million a player is going to piss teammates off.

i’m sure the players who are out here obviously trying to win it are aware of taxes. They are among the most highly taxed people in the country. In some cases, they even pay a jock tax because they play in areas greedy cities put an extra tax on for entertainers. And the big contract guys already make half a million a game. At least. And considering nobody plays 82 games, they really get more than that.

All this really does is let the role-players feel like a 40 million a year player for a night but it’s obvious they still care about it. There’s something different about it when if you lose you don’t get it.
