The GOP-dominated Texas Supreme Court has halted a lower court’s ruling that allowed an abortion for a pregnant woman whose fetus has a fatal diagnosis.
Texas AG has threatened any doctor with life in prison if they perform that abortion.
The woman, Kate Cox, cannot proceed with receiving care even though her health & future fertility are at risk.

Yeah that is horrible. Republicans need to figure this out. That woman deserves better.
The idea was to let the physician make the decision, not the courts but that ultimately failed here. Obviously there’s the fatal diagnosis which should cement the reason for abortion.

Pretty outrageous situation that definitely should allow abortion.
Republicans continue to dig in and shooting themselves over this issue. I guess abortion is the hill they are willing to die on?

I was told by some very smart libs on this site who are pro-Hamas that americans shouldn't interject on other people's way of life, no matter how awful or disagreeable it is.
I am pro-choice and I don't think anyone should be forced to carry, so I don't agree. Just pointing this out to you and all your pro-Hamas buddies. If this what these states want and this is what they vote for then so be it. Just like Hamas. They are entitled to their own beliefs and their own sovereignty.

Meet Ken Paxton, Republican Attorney General of Texas.
Ken has zero medical training.
Never attended medical school.
Believes the earth is 5,000 years old.
Wants direct control over women's bodies.
Ken wants to control the most intimate parts of your life, even whether you get to survive a life-threatening pregnancy.

There will not be enough votes for that view in America. They will lose.

Have you ever seen a man have to prove that he is near death to get healthcare?
Have you ever seen a man plead with a lawmaker to get healthcare from a local hospital?
I mean, it dose not happen.

The end of Roe was just the beginning.
Republicans are coming for contraception.
Republicans are coming for surrogacy and IVF.
They are coming for no-fault divorce (just ask Mike Johnson).
And working mothers and single mothers and more.
They will not stop until we stop them at the ballot box.
