He might win his 2nd mvp award this year if Sixers finish with the top 2-3 seed.

Even if he deserved it the voters won't vote for him.

They are turned off after last year and the playoffs.

Best center in the league. Adding 6 assists per game is amazing.

Shouldn't have whined his way into it last year, now he won't get the one he might actually deserve.

You're right he probably didn't last year and probably does this year. I think he ends up getting it regardless, though. I'd still rather have Jokic.

You said he wouldn't win last year. Stop being such a sour puss.

Nash and Steph won MVPs, then got better and won again the following season. Ditto Jokic.

A lot of competition though Embiid needs to stay healthy.

I'm a Philadelphia 76ers fan, no matter how hard I try it's always in my DNA

I think embiid won't have to worry about Jokic this year. His shooting is way off. I don't know this for sure but it looks like Jokic is out of shape relative to last season. Looks heavier to me.

I don’t wanna hear it. When Joel embiid plays with one side of his face broken or with a torn acl he gets no leeway. He’s a “playoff shrinker” when he only averages 22 ppg playing with a torn acl. So I ain’t tryna hear no excuses when his fatass can’t move because his fatass came into the season out of shape

I am not saying it as an excuse. I have watched jokic a few times this year and he just hasn't been as good as the last 3 years.

I think Embiids main competition will be giannis.

He is shooting worse, yes. But that's about it. He will probably get better. I saw all Nuggets games this season and if anything I have a feeling they are not going full steam. Playing their young players a lot and a bit on autopilot. It's not a good sign by any means but they have a gear or two to go.

shai has been incredible as a 2 way guy, he cant be overlooked right now. Chet is a really good 2nd guy but I dont think narrative is there for him yet.

Dan Roche: To this point, Joel Embiid has more points (742) than minutes played (736) this season (http://twitter.com/RochesRWinners/status/1736205119296065753). The only player in NBA history to have more points than minutes played in a season (>1,000 pts) is Wilt Chamberlain’s 1961-62 season.
