90s was the strongest era. You should be banned. Weakest era is right now or whenever Lebron is considered a "good" player

The 80s was fillled with grocery baggers, mechanics, drug addicts and dudes drinking beer and smoking cigs at half time. Maybe the 80s? :confusedshrug:

It's been getting better over time, on average. I see it plateauing in around 20 years. In short, if you were drafted before 2043, you're trash.

90s might have been the strongest era ever for centers. Shaq/Hakeem/Drob/Dikembe/Ewing/Mourning....I am sure i am forgetting someone. Even Duncan was drafted in the late 90s.

More predictable low IQ damage control from OP. Yawn.

Funny thing is, out of the general consensus top 30 players of all time, 10 played in the 90s. Yep that's right. The 90s was the most talent-filled of any era.

Nice try, Bronie fluffers.

Based on eye test and talent surveyed league wide through out my time watching the NBA, in five season increments, I’m going:

1) 1990 - 1994
2) 2006 - 2010
3) 1985 - 1989
4) 2016 - 2020
5) 1995 - 1999
6) 2011 - 2015
7) 2001 - 2005

Not bad at all. I was thinking a couple years ago that we might be entering a downturn as some stars were aging but then a bunch of young guys emerged.

Funny how clueless casuals react badly when others mock the 90s for being the diluted, expansion era. :oldlol:

1998 was meh, and 1999 was terrible. The rest was quite good. So no one with a brain would imply that. Especially when considering how great 1990 - 1994 was. Worst basketball I’ve seen league wide during that time (for a number of contextual reasons) was 2001 - 2005 and 2011 - 2015. So WTH are you talking about?

Do you mean the same Dennis Rodman that said LeBron James has no moves and would be easy to guard especially in a more physical era, Dennis Rodman?

70's were pretty damn bad. Even with the merger in '77 the league struggled for years with drug issues and the Finals being on tape delay. I'd say you have to put that decade as the weakest. I'm starting from the 60's since nobody here ever talks about the Mikan days.

First half of the 90's were pretty strong imo, even with Magic & Bird out of the spot light. We started to see a decline in the mid 90's when it seemed like all the stars from the 80's/early 90's started to decline, there wasn't enough young talent to overcome that, and Stern adding a bunch of expansion teams didn't help.

I always looked at the '83-'93 period as the golden years of the league, talent was everywhere. I'd say the '08-'18 era is close behind.

Excuse me...I bring up Mikan often...but I agree with you the 70's was the worst era. The top talent level was the same as the 40's-60's but the lowend talent was just pathetic and the best players were split between two leagues.

I would also say early 00's was pretty bad you had a ton flash in the pan seasons from bums
