Those tax cuts extend to all private businesses and corporations. That includes big business as well as small business. When business owners pay lower taxes and get to keep more of their money, it makes it easier to do more business. When taxes are high and regulations are strict, it becomes harder. Republicans would rather have the money circulate in the private sector than give it to the government who will no doubt either misspend it or outright steal it.

What made him worse than Trump? Both gave tax cuts while increasing spending, but Bush did it with a surplus, while Trump was already in a huge deficit.

Trump’s TCJA was also worse in terms of more money going to the rich and screwing over the middle class in the long run.
