Damn yo, a game and a half back of the 4 seed with over 3 months to go, his MVP chances are finished :(

I'm still not entirely sure how much value Kyrie really brings to the team.

Mavericks will have to make a trade... idk who they can trade for... or what the missing ingredient is.... but a trade needs to be made.

not far from the lottery either. Won't be Luka's fault though!

It's still too early for anyone to panic or anyone to celebrate but leave it to OP to overreact ASAP. They are dependant on Irving being reliable. I wouldn't want to depend on Irving for my team but if he only misses 8 or less more games they should be a playoff team. Don't like the overuse of Doncic for a championship team but if you are just trying to make the playoffs he can carry you there.

I think the Nuggets will have a strong second half. Played the most games, the most on the road and the most back to backs so far out of the top teams. Had their injury (Murray) and Jokic is not worn out as he has been silent but efficient in the last 2 weeks. The Nuggets are on a 56 win pace at the moment but I think they have a good chance to get to at least 60. MVP will again come down to Jokic and Embiid. I'd be really surprised if Shai could get there.

I'm still not entirely sure how much value Kyrie really brings to the team.

He will bring a lot of value against good defensive teams in the playoffs.

He doesn't provide any of what they need as a team which is defense and rebounding.

That's the problem.

They still are dependent on outgunning their opponents and still have only one competent big man on the roster. They don't even have Maxi Kleber, who was an important defensive player the last couple of years.

They desperately need at least one, but preferably two, competent rebounding big men.

Drummond is there, but will Mavs try to put together a package?

Also, why sign Richaun Holmes if you're not going to play him. Same last year with Javale McGee, why sign these centers if Kidd is not going to play them?

Overachievers. I predicted they'd end up 4th-6th seed this year, and so far they're doing way better.

29 opponents of the Timberwolves. If we're counting national teams it goes way up

Still, Irving was not happy about the signs and, early in the first quarter, made a comment about them. Rabbi Zippel and the other rabbis were then asked by arena staff to put the signs away, a request that Rabbi Zippel described as confusing and upsetting (https://www.deseret.com/2024/1/2/24022778/utah-jazz-sign-policy-zippel-kyrie-irving). “The question is whether there is a written policy that says in courtside seats there can be no signage. And if there is, does anyone know where that policy is listed?” he said.

In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, the Utah Jazz organization said that fans are asked to remove signs when the signs become a disruption. “The Utah Jazz Code of Conduct is in place so that games can be played without distraction and disruption. No matter where someone is in the arena, if a sign becomes distracting or sparks an interaction with a player, we will ask them to remove it,” the statement said (https://www.deseret.com/2024/1/2/24022778/utah-jazz-sign-policy-zippel-kyrie-irving).
