So the Kings are up 2 and have the ball with 3 seconds left after a Panchero turnover, they then without checking in the matter of a second somehow change the call, to Magic ball... they get an inbound under the Kings basket, get a layup and it goes to double overtime, where the Kings luckily pull it out, for the sake of justice.

Pretty inexplicable what happened there.

Cant remember seeing such a thing.

How in the world could this happen in this day and age?

Clearly someone for good reason thought Panchero touched it last, then they overturn such an insanely crucial call without checking? When it wasnt even close?

I didn't read your thread because quite frankly I don't care.

But

This gif right here pretty much not only sums up what is mostly wrong with the NBA today, but society at large.

Dude is screaming out and making a horrendous face as if someone just punched him in the gut when nobody touched him and he simply lost control of the ball.

Stupid and soft ass world bruh.

Youre overreacting.

He didnt scream, that was just his reaction to losing the ball.

He didnt even complain about it being Magic ball.

No one complained.

They just reversed their call in a split second with zero explanation and kept the game alive.

I know they like to do that to give offensive players easy foul shots / free throws on weak drives with a minute or two left, but never at this extreme.

Bizarre.

The refs sucked all night. They missed a blatant moving screen where Sabonis lowered his shoulder into Queen’s head near the end of the first OT which lead to a basket down 3.

I just looked for this and it never happened. Not sure what youre taking about.

Im not talking about the game, Im talking about the bizareness and randomness of this particular call.

Missing a moving screen, shit happens. Calls are missed.

This though?

Is a whole other level.

The process of overturning this without any check-up is completely bizarre.

Absoutey mindboggling bush league stuff.

After the dribble handoff, Sabonis (SAC) establishes himself in Queen's (ORL) path before the contact. However, Sabonis after assuming a legal position, he moves toward Queen by turning his body, and a foul was warranted.

Down 1, not 3.

The league admitted it was warranted in the final 2 minute report. What you would or wouldn't have called is not relevant.

Says you, but that call is also completely irrevelant to this thread.

(The league also cannot "admit" anything, as its just the opinion of whoever came together to write that report. The official in charge might still have the other opinion.)

The league stated the refs got the call wrong in their official L2R. Just like they got the call wrong when Banchero lost the ball. Point being, it's the exact same thing. Both were wrong calls by the refs and they were bad all night.
