The homicide rate in the United States is expected to plummet nearly 13% compared to 2022

Huge drop in Big City homicide this year.

According to DPD, there were 252 homicides in the City of Detroit last year, the fewest since 1966 and down 18.4% compared to 2022.

Yes, there was a rise in rates across the US during the pandemic, but now we are declining below pre-pandemic levels.

Bad news for Republicans running on the platform that crime since January 20, 2021 has been the worst in history and continues to get much much worse each year.

Wow. And crime is still up since 2020 and the race riots.

Well it makes sense a decline would follow a spike, given those involved in the spike are now dead or imprisoned.

Trump hate was so strong that it triggered BLM and twink white supporter liberals to tear and burn down cities. Leading to massive crime.

Trump supporters haven't been tearing anything down over Biden. We honestly don't even care since he's such a joke it's not worth getting mad over.

Off the Court (who used to post under his MaxFly account) is like a person that sets a pile of dry leaves on fire, and then quickly douses it out with his garden hose and tells everyone that he put out a fire today and saved the whole neighborhood from going up in flames.

The US, (as well as most Western countries) are having a record number of excess deaths. Even more so than during the "pandemic."

Excess deaths are the number of deaths above the average rate at our population level.

We are dying below what is expected.

Cardiovascular deaths in particular are falling sharply.

Cardiovascular deaths in particular? Is this a gimmick account?

Did you even watch the video? What about the excess death mentioned in the video?

In the United States, the life insurance industry has reported a 24% increase in deaths of people aged 15 to 19 years, a 23% increase for 30 to 34 year olds, a 25% increase in 40 to 44 year olds.

By the 30th week of this year, there were more than 147,000 excess deaths recorded in America. For the sake of comparison, the official tally of the US dead after two decades of war in Vietnam was just over 58,000 dead.

Like here, the grim tally of excess deaths in the US involves bigger numbers of heart attacks in all the age groups, bigger numbers for diabetes, bigger numbers for kidney disease deaths, bigger numbers for liver disease deaths.

GB News is a British free-to-air opinion-orientated[a] news television and radio channel.

Even the link says "opinion". It is a garbage site for people who buy into anything like you. In reality the mortality rate is back to pre-pandemic normals. In the United States anyway. I haven't looked into every country in the EU. I'm sure you can find places where it is above normal still for whatever reason if that is what you are out to find.

The Detroit news isn’t quite as glowingly positive as it seems.

The vastly increased presence of simple geographic “rural” distance between things in Detroit now, naturally decreases homicide rates lol.

And each year, it just gets more and more rural lol

From the OP article -

The homicide rate in the United States is expected to plummet nearly 13% compared to 2022

The drop in homicides comes as more than three-quarters of Americans say there is more crime in the U.S. than a year ago and more than half of Americans say the same about crime in their local area, according to a Gallup poll released last month. Adding to that perception is the annual National Crime Victimization Survey published this month by the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics that found the number of violent crime victims nationwide climbed from 16.5 per 1,000 people in 2021 to 23.5 per 1,000 in 2022.

So violent crime climbed from 16.5 per 1000 in 2021, to 23.5 per 1000 in 2022 - which is an increase of ~70% in one year... but were supposed to celebrate because the homicide rate is "expected" to drop by 13% once the 2023 numbers are collected and compared to 2022?

Trump's presidency had the most deaths since WW2.
