McHale and Barkley tied at the top IMO. Completely different players but both extremely difficult to matchup with.

Then C Webb.

Then Pelicans AD.

Then basically every other decent PF that's ever played.

Then Lakers AD.

I wouldn't say"easy but I would say:

1st: McHale. Great player on both ends of the floor and second best player for multiple championships.

2. Barkley. Only great on one end but led a team to the Finals and won an mvp. Arguably should be first but McHale got the edge for his defensive ability.

3. Davis. Great on both ends but has durability issues

4. Webber. Only great offensively and had durability issues.

And because he's the most Jekyll and Hyde player in the league, he only dominates HALF of the 40% of games he DOES play.

So a guy who dominates 20% of the time is better than Webber and McHale.

Fairly easy for me. AD and McHale was the only tough one. AD probably the more natural talent but McHale just always seemed to do everything right. At least from what I’ve watched of the 80s. Which is actually quite a bit.

That's where I am. McHale is an easy call over AD for me. I can count on McHale to actually show up. He played all 82 games 5 times and had 3 more seasons with at least 77 games. The most games AD ever played in a season was 75.
