A very interesting type of player. Kind of reminds me of a guy that fits the Bogut/Noah archetype. Exceptional defender, rebounder, screener, and passer. The Knicks are starting to run plays through him to utilize his passing from the elbows. Kind of like how Thibs did with Joakim back in Chicago.

The knock against him has always been proneness to foul trouble. But he's seemingly fixed those issues somewhat.

Since Mitchell Robinson went down with an injury, here's what Hartenstein's numbers look like:

- 16 games played; 10 games started
- 32.9 minutes per game
- 8.2 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.4 spg, 1.8 bpg, 1.5 topg
- 63.4% FG, 69.2% FT, 66.1% TS
- +8.4

The assists have gone up to 3.0 per game in the last 10 games which he's started in all. 3.3 per game in the last 8 games. So, it's sort of trending upwards. Supports what I'm seeing in the games.

ALSO: He's currently ranked #1 in defensive EPM. +4.6 per 100 possessions. His box score, play-by-play data, and player tracking numbers are exceptional.

- Holds opponents -12.1% below average FG% on 6.3 shots per game from 0-6 feet.
- -4.1 on/off defensive rating

I always thought he moved really well in space for a guy his size. Noah is a good comparison. Both guys cover a lot of ground on defense, while staying on balance. I guess the lack of offensive game outside of 10ft is what has held him back.

Would be perfect on GSW. He's the Bogut-type center they've been lacking since 2016. His synergistic value would be immense when paired with Steph, Klay, and Dray. I wonder if they can clear enough cap space to give him an offer he can't refuse. Mitchell Robinson already has his deal with NYK and Hartenstein is a free agent this offseason.

If he can continue to rebound like that the Knicks are good with him not being an offensive threat. It might even be best that they have a center that doesn't have an offensive game as he won my get upset over lack of touches he's just glad to be out there. I might need th he Knicks to include him in the Jart/Anonoby for Lavine deal.

He's on the 2nd year of a 2yr deal. With him becoming a UFA after this season, I don't think the Bulls would have much interest in him (in a Levine deal) unless they're truly looking to dump salary.

I don't post that trade as a serious thing but of he's on an expiring deal then he would be great to include for any trade, teams always want to shed salary.

Solid rotational player I guess. From what Ive seen he looks competent and consistent, but I dont think he has like, star potential waiting to be unleashed by the right opportunity. Definitely serviceable tho.

75% German.

He's probably an average starting center. Along the line of Jacob Poeltl or Brook Lopez. The center position is really good nowadays.

Wtf do not want Lavine here no thanks, we already have a tumor here in Randle.

I like Hartenstein, he's a good backup and at times finishes games better over Mitchell Robinson.

You aren't thinking of the glorious possibilities. I like the Knicks best when they have a team full of ball dominant scoring guards. Like that Francis/Marbury Knicks team, I really enjoyed that.

I was looking for a rebounder for my fantasy team and decided to pick him up. He's been doing wonders in that category for me.

Poor Man’s Tyson Chandler

Nahhhh.... Hartenstein will actually back you down, has inside moves and short jumpers. Chandler could barely dribble.
