View Full Version : Someone please interpret this dream for me: A dinosaur almost killed me

So last night I woke up with my heart racing and it was from a dream I was having. It was so vivid and real. I've done my own studies on dreams and to this day, the scientific community cannot definitively define the cause and the meaning of dreams, but some people that are a bit more spiritual and in tune with the dream realm can.

Last night I dreamt that I was with a group of friends (people that I've never seen before in my life), but they were somehow my friends in this dream, and we were outside this old house that looked abandoned from the outside, when from out of nowhere, a giant dinosaur appeared and was coming after us. A few from the group managed to run inside the house for cover, while another guy ran into an outdoor shed. I think I saw one or two other people run off into the woods away from the house as well. There was one friend that didn't make it and the dinosaur, which looked like 3x the size of a T-Rex just came down and snatched him up and ate him. I was towards the back of the yard behind the house and there was no way I could make it to the house without the dinosaur seeing me, so I just hid behind something (can't remember now what it was), and after a few seconds of the dinosaur looking around, he started to walk away and one of his feet passed over me and it looked like it was the size of a bus. I thought he would step on me, but as he was walking away, I managed to run into the house and reunite with my friends and that's when I woke up. I ran to my window to look outside to see if there were any dinosaurs in the backyard, but thankfully I didn't see any and realized it was just a dream.

What could this have meant though? Is it a premonition?

:lol

Literally came in to say pretty much this. Jurassic Park was my favorite movie as a kid and still is in my top 10 probably.

I have dinosaurs dreams once every few months or so. I always love it. Being chased and trying to survive is fun as hell when there are no actual stakes.

The dinosaur represents your gayness. The people you don't know by face are ish members who's attention you are graving. The ones eaten by your gayness are the ones you are sexually attracted to
It's obvious by the fact you're hiding from it and that it's 3x as big as a T-Rex.

Yep, I thought everyone knew that dinosaur dreams mean you're super gay.

WTF really? Why do you think that is? Cause you watch Jurassic Park a lot? I can't think of anything I saw recently that involved dinosaurs or monsters for it to enter into my subconscious dream state.

The dinosaur wanted to eat you because you are fat.

Dreams are very subjective, but they do give clues about a person and how they handle dangerous situations. And the vibe that I get from the dream is that Patrick Chewing is fearless and adept at managing high pressure scenarios.

A person doesn't know they're in a dream as they're dreaming, so the main thing that I got was how Patrick Chewing was able to maintain his composure and apply sound logic when faced with sudden and dangerous situations. While others were running around due to intense fear, thus getting noticed and eaten.

The size of the tyrannosaurus Rex also gives a clue of just how fearless Patrick Chewing might be, because in order for it to have an effect, the t-rex had to be 3x as large.

It could also be that he read this NY Post article before he went to bed last night: What we thought we knew about T. rex was wrong, researchers say in new study (https://nypost.com/2024/01/07/news/what-we-thought-we-knew-about-t-rex-was-wrong-researchers-say-in-new-study/)

Speaking of dinosaurs, many of them are quite heavy. Just like op himself. :lebronamazed:

I would troll you but complex, random dreams are interesting and usually mean something related to your life.

Dreaming about being in an unfamiliar place with people you don't recognize might symbolize new experiences or aspects of your life that you are exploring. The abandoned house could represent an undiscovered or neglected part of yourself.

A threatening dinosaur could symbolize a fear or challenge in your life. Possibly the challenge of trying to lose weight? Dinosaurs are extinct so this could also represent an outdated fear or issue that you're still carrying with you.

The friend who didn’t get away ….
Did he make any decisions the last few years, that you yourself were staunchly against ?

You are yearning for a change or facing a challenge in your life but afraid to do it. Maybe you feel the challenge is too big (symbolized by the oversized dino). You are afraid that if you do the change, you are going to lose something important or hurt yourself or others (symbolized by the friend that got eaten). Deep down you know it all will pass (symbolized by the dino walking away).

Or it's just a random dream. I'mma go with random dream.

Patrick Imma be real.

You are a dinosaur.

Like a lot of us here.

Your day to day rhetoric is almost prehistoric.

You’re being eaten alive by your own old reptilian brain.

Exactly what I was thinking. While everyone in my dream ran or got eaten, I stayed out there. Even though I hid behind something, I am pretty sure the dinosaur knew I was there, but decided it was in his best interest to walk away. Odds are I would have zigged and zagged my way back to the house crossing him up and he would have broken an ankle and gone down with a bang. And a dinosaur as big as the one in my dream wasn't getting up from that.

It's too weird and too specific to be random though. Most people forget their dreams. I still remember it. I remember the fear. How does a giant 10-story dinosaur enter my subconscious like that??

But maybe your first thought was right. I do have enormous fears in life that I must conquer. And this could have symbolized it.
