How was his game? Shot 40% from 3 as a rookie back in the 80's when it was pretty rare. Dude was like 6 foot 8. Played just one year in the NBA until he tragically killed himself. What was his potential?

In the 1989 off-season, and just weeks before his 25th birthday, Berry was found dead after a self-inflicted gunshot. He had showed no signs of depression, but left a suicide note in which he reportedly wrote that his wife did not love him and was taking advantage of him.

What would you like to talk about? He played one year and killed himself. The end.

Little crazy to say he was going to be Steph or Ray Allen but we'll never know.

They always do this when a player dies young

Just read he had an off season job in automotive?
Had an argument with his wife and 4 friends before he killed himself an hour later?

Because we like to cling on to that 1 in a 100 chance of a prospect having a Jokic, Giannis or Kawhi like trajectory.

I don't wanna be insensitive but doesn't his suicide prove he's mentally weak and therefore his potential couldn't have been too high.

was one of the better rookies from what I remember. Pretty old for a rookie for whatever reason so his upside was probably limited
