3 1st rounders for Siakam? Wow
The market has felt kinda out of wack for picks for awhile. The majority of deals that happen now it feels like too many picks were added

Toody fetched five of em.
Teams dont seem to value picks outside the top 10 all that highly. Im sure these have some protections on em at any rate.

It's going to be interesting to see what kind of numbers Pascal puts up playing with Tyrese in a run-and-gun system. He isn't much of an outside shooter. The idea of a weak-shooting athletic forward/center putting up big stats intrigues me. Like Shawn Marion in 2006. Makes me wonder what Wemby could do playing in Indiana...

I think bc the talent pool is so much larger these days, getting the 21st pick in the draft doesnt really mean as much when you got a hundred legitimate prospects around the world entering each draft.

They have mortgaged their future but it shows indy thinks they can win now. If Siakam can make their defense solid they will certainly be a rough team to deal with. Their top 6 could rival the Celtics, different types of players but Haliburton, Hield, Mathurin, Siakam, Turner and McConnell are all good players at worst. Nembard, Toppin and Nesmith are all good enough that a Pacer fan could reply to me that I messed up who their best players are. They were tangled up with the knicks Heat and Cavs. This deal should leave them ahead of the Heat and Cavs and able to keep up with the Knicks who also cashed in on the Raptor rebuild. If Embiid needs rest at the same rate for the rest of the season expect Philly to lose home court in the first round.
The more I think about it the more dangerous it feels like the Pacers will be. Them vs. Milwaukee in the second round could be interesting.

It's the official end of We The North era now that the last piece of the chip puzzle is now gone. It happens on a back-to-back nights against Kyle Lowry's and Demar Derozan's teams too.
3 first-rounders are great deal. And it is not a signal of Raptors tanking neither since they could ask for Buddy Hield instead of Bruce Brown.
Nothing be love for Pascal and his contributions to Toronto especially the championship run. :applause:

Adrian Wojnarowski: The 2024 first-round picks will be Indiana’s own and the worst of Utah/Houston/Clippers/OKC, (https://*********.com/social/) per sources.

3 1st rounders for Siakam? Wow
Those 3 picks aren’t as great as they sound
1) Pacers 2024 first which will be low 20’s
2) OKC or Clipps 2024 first (which ever is worst) so that’ll be like 27th
3) Pacers 2026 1st which will be mid 20’s

While this is true, Siakam just ain't good enough to warrant that. He's proven he's a valuable player within a system but can't lead anyone himself (see toronto since Kawhi left). Ironically, Indiana would be one of the only teams where he could actually shine and fit perfectly in since they are very team oriented

Pascal himself was a late 1st-round pick.

As the longtime Pacers center sat courtside at Golden 1 Center on Wednesday, there was an unmistakable irony that came with the conversation about the state of this Indiana squad. For years, there was chatter about the imperfect fit between him and former Pacers big man and current Kings star Domantas Sabonis. The February 2022 trade that sent Tyrese Haliburton to Indiana and Sabonis to Sacramento brought an end to that discussion, but it’s fair to wonder if those types of concerns might remain. The answer, as I learned from Turner and speaking to league sources close to PascalSiakam, is a resounding no. And the reason, it seems, is rooted in the fact this pairing is one that the newest Pacer has been hoping would come to fruition for years now. During all those years in Toronto, Siakam would tell people close to him how Turner was the kind of stretch five who would work wonders for his game. After his dream scenario of the Raptors somehow landing Kevin Durant, league sources say, Turner was next up on his list of players with whom he would love to play (https://theathletic.com/5210759/2024/01/18/pascal-siakam-trade-indiana-pacers-future-raptors/).
