Was he the 3rd or 4th scoring option of the Golden State Warriors? Only in 2019 he had the great case of being the best player of the Warriors in the nba finals.

hopefully they don’t make him a commentator like Kenny Smith who was the 6th and 7th scoring option of the Houston Rockets in the nba finals. And he was acting like he was the 2nd best player after Hakeem. It was Vernon Maxwell in 1994 and Clyde Drexler in 1995.

This is a weird thing to get upset over

don't think how good of a player you were has anything to do with your ability on tv. I don't like Kenny and he was a role player on the Rockets and acts like he was something special when he wasn't. Klay is an all-star and champion. Not quite the same thing

He was always the 3rd or 4th best player on the team to me. In 2017 he averaged just 15 ppg while also shooting worse from 3 than Dray in that Playoff run, and he only attempted 1.6 more threes per game than Green. He had some Game 6 moments and he made big shots for those teams but he's always been like a role player on that team and that's due to him having a limited skillset.

As a sidekick, he was better in 2015 and 2016 than kobe was in 2000-02.

Kenny was the LAST guard off the bench for the Rockets.

Vernon Maxwell, Rookie Sam Cassell, Mario Ellie, all got minutes in rotation. Kenny largely didn’t get hardly any minutes. But he loves to front on TV like he was some important aspect of that Rockets squad.

Kenny, like many other undersized SG’s pretending to be PG, was only able to do numbers on “less than winning efficiency”, on a squad that was nowhere close to a competitor/contender. We see this over and over in basketball history. There are so many DeJuan Wagners.

Kenny Smith was the starter at PG for the Rockets from 1991 through 1996, starting 455 times in 468 total games. 97% of the time. Granted his minutes started dwindling, from 35 mpg in 1991 to 24 mpg in 1996.
