Yes people still care about the voting and nominating process. The honor and title of ‘all star’ still carries weight and is an important stat on a career resume . It’s just the actual game people don’t give a shit about. You could conceivably cancel the all star game but still award players the title of all star and it might not make muc of a difference, but nba should still figure out how to fix the actual event.

Agreed, Lillard has hardly looked engaged at all this season. I get that they have a good record and he's had some big games, but Brunson shows up every night and carries a bigger load. Def deserved it more IMO, but Dame's the more popular name so I'm not surprised he took it.
