Clearly the dude is a generational talent, but as of now he is on pace to be the best player to never win a MVP or a ring.

At some point, this dude needs to at least make a finals. And as things stand, he can't do it with his current playstyle and can't do it with this Mavs team.

So will he change his style of play or change teams at some point?

When he becomes a less selfish player so likely never.

Didn't he already proved himself to be better than michael jordan during the 2020 disney bubble? :oldlol:

Luka needs to team up with a star two-way big like AD or Wemby. Someone who locks it down on defense and fits well with his ball-hogging playstyle on offense. Kyrie is a solid co-star that can score as a spot-up shooter but it's very much a "your turn my turn" arrangement.

There's nothing wrong with his style of play, it's a result of the talent he's had to play with thus far in his career. People who are asking him to be more "unselfish" when he's playing with a bunch of role players and a co-star who's injured are just ****ing stupid.

He had a moment already when he beat the best team in the league on their home court in a Game 7. Doesn't have the right team to win a title yet, but he's only 24. Jordan had not even made it past the 1st round at the same age.

Yeah and he's still not on a true contender. He's an offensive savant, but still absurdly ball dominant and he isn't a good defender either.

Jokic puts up similar production but is actually much less ball dominant. Idk man, in this era of players changing teams all the time, there is no way Luka stays with the Mavs unless they get another true superstar on his team.

So I am just wondering when he will have his "moment" in his career where he makes a change - think Lebron joining the Heat the first time.

Luka had Porzingis.

Porzingis was and is a great player if you can get him his looks. Luka didn't like Zingis from day 1, it was very obvious.

I'll never forgive Luka for destroying the hope of the white Stockton and Malone.

Stockton and Malone never missed games and rarely had an off night at either end of the floor. Great example :facepalm

This is the year

I just don't see anyone stopping the two headed monster of Luka & Kyrie in a 7 game series
