The 30ppg DPOY sky high best case projections feel like something he could do like…next year. I don’t know if he was just more ready than expected or if the pace and defense of the league making him look better. Either way I did not expect him to be this so soon.

Garnett was somewhere between 210 and 215 when drafted I'm pretty sure. Was listed at 220 pounds in his rookie season. Was 253 pounds in his penultimate 2004 MVP season. If Victor can follow that progression... watch out.

There is always talent in the draft and the spurs are historically the best at finding it especially overseas. Sabonis was injured in the NBA but he came to the NBA already old. Sampson played most of the games in his first three seasons and then started getting hurt. How could anyone know that he gets hurt less of he doesn't play early? That's not a guarantee at all. Nothing about adding makes a guy more injury-resistant. In fact the reverse is true.
