Who is the best in-game dunker of all time?

With the emphasis being on in-game.

Feel free to name more than one player, especially if you mention Shaq because he's sort of in a category by himself when it comes to centers who dunked on people.

I don't know why you even thought of Shaq. Know who Vinsanity is?

Shaŵn Kemp probably. Raptors Vince Carter or Frobe as well.

That's one of the things that's missing today. There's no creative dunkers anymore. No more windmills, between the legs, 360s, double pump reverses, behind the back slams, up and under reverse dunks, etc. Even the in your face poster dunks are weak compared to back in the day.

Due to different plays being run, more 3 pt heavy focus / offenses and centers being out the lanes, we will probably never see really great in game dunkers again.

Russ and Blake might be the last ones, and Blake was so-so for historical standards.

Morant is the only current one really.

Bruce Brown too, altho nobody really sees him this year because he plays limited minutes on obscure teams, and I dunno if he gets set up for dunks as easily anymore.

But when he was paired with Joker, boyyyy he was throwin down HAMMERS.

Edit: Speaking of which, Denver’s Christian Braun also throws it down somethin nasty on a pretty regular basis.

true, I mean so did Caruso back in the day every now and then..

he probably had more posters than Braun.

Good point. I guess I only singled out Shaq because of his physical advantage over everyone else. I wasn't saying he's actually the greatest in game dunker ever.

I feel like the fame had way more emotional charge to it watching old highlights. Even the announcers were better.

That's a ****ing show you never see nowadays.

Favorite in game dunk of all time was this one though.

Best poster ever imo.

Maybe... Rudy is a great rim protector but he's lucky he didn't play in that era. He would've gotten Gatling'ed by athletes like Shawn Kemp.

his problem would have been they'd have tried to put too much weight on him and he wouldn't have stayed healthy would be my guess

Most of those dunks have been done in games this season...

Stop with the rose tinted glasses.

pretty impressive. Wasn't sure if he could dunk. Never saw him do it in a game. A basketball camp. Early on. Looks really young

'Best' as in the closest to being able to dunk at will, it's Shaq hands down.

The most electrifying has to be VC.

Have to go with the cousins VC and T-Mac, both in game dunk machines

It's definitely not someone under 6'9.

Giving props after getting dunked on. What a soft ****ing era that was!

Rudy's talent is great rim protection without being run off the floor, usually. It's amazing what he can do without having a jumper in today's league. Back in the day? His quick feet while always useful wouldn't be nearly as valuable. I'm not sure if he'd stand out as much defensively but his physical tools would make him a great shot blocker in any era.

Surprised Blake Griffin hasn't been mentioned. His in-game dunks between 2010-2014 were ridiculous
