I don't think any all time great in league history has been scouted and noticed at 13. LeBron didn't even get "noticed" until 15. These kids' bodies are going to change so much during this time frame. You can't possibly project such a comparison that early on. Absurd. Even if it ends up being right, it was dumb luck.
Given his weight/height combo and taking it into consideration, Shaq has a legit argument for most athletic person in league history. Nice thread.

A player who is 6'10 at such a young age will always have a height advantage and will probably rely too heavily on it.
He never even gets the chance to play against the "taller and stronger" kids where he's forced to rely on skill rather than size, because he's already "them". This will stunt his development. Unless he is able to practice against pros, him being so tall is a bad thing.

Mohamed Dabone is his name. He's the tall one for Barca. It is impossible to tell whether he keeps growing; some guys are man-children and stop at 12. He has a cool name though. Prospects out of West, East, and Central Africa are the new wave.

If he's playing in Europe he has the advantage of playing against bigger better players at a younger age. In America kids are usually locked to their age group for much longer.
