Some election observers have warned that a ruling requiring congressional action to implement Section 3 could leave the door open to a renewed fight over trying to use the provision to disqualify Trump in the event he wins the election. In one scenario, a Democratic-controlled Congress could try to reject certifying Trump’s election on Jan. 6, 2025, under the clause.
The issue then could return to the court, possibly in the midst of a full-blown constitutional crisis.
So it is not over-over yet. And Trump has already been cruising with or without those 3 states so the ruling probably doesn't matter much anyway.

It may not matter for Trump, but this will matter for future elections for both partys.
Just think of what this means...
One can accuse someone of treason and all of a sudden an accusation and preplanned court hearing alone (regardless of how credible it is) can bar someone from a ballot... no conviction.
This is a terrible game the LEFT is playing

The case is the court’s most direct involvement in a presidential election since Bush v. Gore, a decision delivered a quarter-century ago that effectively handed the 2000 election to Republican George W. Bush. And it’s just one of several cases involving Trump directly or that could affect his chances of becoming president again, including a case scheduled for arguments in late April about whether he can be criminally prosecuted on election interference charges, including his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. The timing of the high court’s intervention has raised questions about whether Trump will be tried before the November election.
So the question is if Gore was elected , would our country have been in a shit hole , millions losing homes and the stock market all most crashing ?? (I myself lost 150k from my 401)
(They should of went after Dumpster soon than later to get him convicted of Jan6th and charged him with influencing riots to plot and kill Pence besides
the others that were killed and injured. )

It's Republican game as well thanks to Mitch McConnell. He said Trump was guilty of insurrection but that it was not up to Congress, but a judicial court to decide. That led to the states deciding for themselves which led to supreme court reversal.

Why are Dems and Rinos so committed to preventing Trump from getting reelected? What are they afraid of? We've never seen anything like this before.
My guess is that Trump's policies are bad for swamp land "business as usual".

The difference is that Trump has been convicted of felonies. Now it is up to the case presentations in the court to determine verdict. So no, it is absolutely not like your example. Accusation =/= conviction just like conviction =/= verdict of guilt or innocence.
Learn the difference between accusation, conviction, and verdict.

Mitch can say whatever he wants, just because he thinks someones guilty doesnt mean they are. Let the courts decide it...
the courts were not always the ones deciding that though... Maine's secretary of state decided herself he was guilty and took him off the ballot before the supreme courts recent intervention.

Well, it has to go through the courts. He has been charged. There is no verdict yet as it works through the courts (or delay game in Donny's case for the past year to buy until Nov 2024 past the election).
Perhaps I should use charged instead of convicted because that's where we are right now. Typically a conviction includes a court trial completion, including a verdict from judge/jury.
First, it's accused. That is pretty meaningless by itself, but it usually means an investigation is coming.
Then, it's charged once an investigation is finished, and a prosecutor feels they have enough evidence to win a lawsuit. It's a precursor to a court case coming for conviction. We are past this point. The trials are ongoing. Being charged is a step above accused.
Finally, you get a verdict when the court reach a decision. It's a precursor to punishment or end of the case.
That's the entire process. We are between 2 and 3.

He's a retard and I don't use that word often... but really, only a retard could interchange the words charged and convicted in regards to the law and court trials and pretend it means the same thing.

Hey, I realized my mistake after I made the post. Unlike you, I actually am man enough to admit when I'm made a mistake. Have you ever admitted to being wrong? You were wrong when you tried to push the narrative of it being accused rather than charged. Charged goes beyond just layman term accused.
Also, I already said there has been no verdict. I simply messed up one word, but if you actually read my whole post, you would realize that I kept saying there has been no verdict and is on-going. It was a brainfart on my end in that post. I didn't make the same mistake in the other thread: http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?516550-Judge-Orders-Trump-Removed-From-Illinois-Primary-Ballot&p=14888838&viewfull=1#post14888838 . It happens.
And yeah, I won't get into name-calling. It's too childish. If it suits your personality, it's your call.
Edit: I will also add that there are 4 cases ongoing currently. Only one of them have to get a guilty verdict. I believe the probability is against Donny.

Except you are a true retard- someone with a mental barrier far below average and probably even on this forum. Not only do you not know the difference of those terms, you lack concept. You have no idea what the hell you're talking about and that is something beyond politics. This can be traced back to when you were giving stock advise pretending to say something novel like "buy low sell high" as if you're some Einstein buying up penny stocks.
In this case I've tried to tell you multiple times how dangerous it is to strip someone of a right just for being charged and you refute it. I even gave you an example (Ex. Someone being charged with a felony still having the ability to buy a firearm, or hiring a lawyer to sue you for a felony offense and taking away your rights while we await trial) and you chose to ignore it. There are multiple people in this very thread telling you there are absolutely NO convictions in these cases but guess what? you ignore it. In fact, you tried to educate me on terminology despite your lack of complete understanding of the process. And speaking of process, do you know what due process is? Innocent until proven guilty because this is America we're talking about, not Pakistan.
You are a clown. Not just in this thread but in all your postings. Do I know everything? No, I don't... and truthfully i'm not even political -- see post#23 of mine in here. I've probably been wrong multiple times, nothing wrong about it. If I can learn something from this shit show of a place im in a better place. But I don't go on the record trying to correct someone on a subject I have no clue about or the repercussions of what I am suggesting -- that tells me you have given your own thoughts zero time for dissection.
That is you. You pretend as if you know 100% of everything you speak of... and in this thread, that blew up in your face. This is the most time I am going to give you, soak it up.

I love how Blade is trying to say it was just a misspeak or even a typo, the conceptional differences of being charged and convicted of a crime are both so different and so important, and it literally flew all over his head.
Like you said i’m pretty sure he doesn’t even know what due process is and it’s importance.
