Boeing is so terrible nowadays. That merger with MD way back in the 90s was the biggest blunder they ever made.

You're really into airplanes. Have you ever thought about being a pilot?

I'm trying to be nice to you, not bully you, yet you continue to try and antagonizing me.

You're probably prohibited from getting on an airplane anyway, due to your massive weight. Because if you suddenly decided to run as fast as you can to the back, or trip and start rolling like a ball to the back, being so round, then you risk stalling the airplane.

Like this.

It is true that he probably hasn't been out of the house since his last Corona shot. That's why I'm trying to encourage him to become a pilot. Though he might end up crashing the plane, so perhaps he should pursue becoming a flight attendant. Either way, he should get out of the house. Even if it's to some woke protest.

Maybe he can work in a cargo airplane. They might have more room for him there.

Something weird is def going on with Boeing lately. No doubt planes will have issues, but the number of accidents/incidents that Boeing planes have had over the past decade has to be an order of magnitude greater than Airbus or any other major plane manufacturer.

Regardless of how you feel about him, John Oliver actually had a pretty informative piece about Boeing last week, how they used to be the gold standard for aviation, but after a big merger in the 90's they become solely focused on profits and stocks, starting a steep decline in product and performance. But even with that, the amount of recent incidents they've had is frankly ridiculous :lol I would not choose to fly a Boeing anytime soon.

Here’s big black **** with an article on it

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-68534703

Last week, he gave a formal deposition in which he was questioned by Boeing's lawyers, before being cross-examined by his own counsel.
He had been due to undergo further questioning on Saturday. When he did not appear, enquiries were made at his hotel.
He was subsequently found dead in his truck in the hotel car park.

What evidence are you looking for? He died of a gun shot wound per the coroner’s exam, reported by the police. Obviously this stuff is hard to prove because Boeing doesn’t have to prove innocence, their army of lawyers just have to prevent ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’. He’s been whistleblowing since like 2019, if he wanted to use his suicide to draw attention to his story he would have done so sooner. Committing suicide days after you testify… right before you’re about to testify again… is incredibly suspicious.

I’m not saying it couldn’t have just been a suicide. He could have been depressed or something.

DEI alone doesnt explain this shit. Its not like Boeing is the only airplane manufacturer that is doing DEI... also, Alaska has not embraced DEI as much as any of their competitors, and yet a ton of these boeing issues have been on Alaska planes.

All things considered, the situation almost seems like some kind of coordinated industrial sabotage campaign against Boeing

https://www.counton2.com/news/local-news/charleston-pd-confirms-investigation-into-death-of-boeing-whistleblower-john-barnett/

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 62-year-old John Barnett of Louisiana.

“Detectives are actively investigating this case and are awaiting the formal cause of death, along with any additional findings that might shed further light on the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Barnett,” said Sgt. Gibson.

He was in very good spirits and really looking forward to putting this phase of his life behind him and moving on. We didn’t see any indication he would take his own life. No one can believe it.

Probably end up one of those likely murdered but impossible to prove scenarios.

warriorfan is giving you some good advice. You like airplanes, and given your size, you should work in a cargo airplane, since there will be more room for you in there. Compared to being an obese flight attendant, having to walk through the aisles. (Though in both cases, you'll end up costing the company money on the extra fuel.)

Axe, who is the master of derailing threads, (and in high likelihood (40%) might be an RRR3 alt pretending to be angry) is angry over people not staying on topic, because this thread happens to revolve around Boeing and aviation. He's the one who derailed the thread, after on topic, I advised him that he should become a pilot. However, the anger that he's currently displaying is an example as to why I advised him to at least try to get out of the house and get a job where he'll get to be around airplanes. It might even motivate him to lose some weight, so that they'll let him on one, without causing excessive fuel consumption concerns.

Probably end up one of those likely murdered but impossible to prove scenarios.pretty much. Personally, I think 99% Boeing was behind it, but what I think means jack shit. Like I said he’s been trying to whistleblow since 2019, and by all accounts he was pretty ecstatic his story was finally getting attention and a lot of the findings on Boeing were consistent with what he was talking about. But US law is you need to prove it beyond a reason of a doubt, so Boeing doesn’t give a damn about ‘proving innocence’ they just need to make sure they aren’t proven guilty. A giant like Boeing is nigh impossible to prosecute. Even with their findings, Boeing will get off with a small(to them) fine.

All boeing has to do is secretly settle with the party sueing them so it will not reach to the point where media will leak the bad news. And when that happens, they will continue whatever bad practices they are doing which would put additional stains to their huge name.

That shit is just normal these days.

As of February 2024, there have been a total of 529 aviation accidents and incidents involving all 737 aircraft (not all are notable enough for inclusion on this list), which have resulted in a total of 5,779 fatalities and 234 hull losses.

https://www.andyposner.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/DEI-graphic.jpgHispanic and blacks are below whites and far below Asians in terms of persistence rates in engineering programs, proving that most non meritocratic affirmative action projects are rooted out during school. While DEI is still an issue, the problem with Boeing is that the qc managers are telling them they’re moving too quickly churning out planes but the investors don’t care and keep pushing profits, not because they hired a purple haired trans person and a few Mexicans.

Asians have a harder time communicating and are often meek and timid; also carrying baggage from issues of feeling inadequate. This holds them back in real world work environments. If real life was a wrote memorization test then it would be a different thing, but it doesn’t exactly work like that.

Probably idk. But if they really wanted to compete against the airbus a320 so bad, then they should have made a direct successor to the 737 family from the scratch instead of heavily modifying the said 60s airliner into a modernized one. Too bad they don't have the resources anymore and are more focused on gaining profits instead of improving safety these days.
