Dominating Sacramento in their own building.
Luka and Kyrie doing whatever they want and they run plays for Luka now.
Honestly, dark horse, might put down some money on them to win it all.

Wouldn’t read too much into it. Everyone scores on Sacramento.
Beam Team are only good when theyre makin a lot of shots. When they arent, they lose.

Dallas plays BIG, fast, and athletic with many of their new lineups. On both sides of the ball.
Including the ones with their slowest player, since he loves the big men running the floor, and can drop it in with arc like a QB to a WR on a go route.
Nobody besides Denver can clearly beat them in a 7-game series, if they keep their turnovers down and take good shots.
Their post-AllStarBreak numbers on both ends are incredible. Despite a lackluster record due to injuries.

Altho it is an IMPORTANT win the Mavs, because they were tied with the Kings at 42-29 and Sac had the tiebreaker, putting them in sixth and Dallas at seventh. After tonight theyll swap places, which is crucial obviously for avoiding the play in. Mavs take over pole position on that sixth spot.
Edit: Theyll be one game outta fifth as well with the Pelicans having lost tonight to OKC. Not sure who has the tiebreak.

Mavs will finish either 4 or 5 seed.
Luka isn’t even physically 100%, but the rest of the squad is healthy, and coming together on both sides of the ball.
Watching Dallas trust Gafford, Washington, Livley, Exum score against the Sac zone tonight lets you know they are very in tune with each other offensively. Playoff level execution.

Yeah, they really seemed to play well. Luka is not dominating the ball as much. Still has high usage but now they more often get him the ball in the high post or coming off a screen etc.
Kyrie is also playing the best he has since 2016 so that will help.
Gafford is definitely a good addition now that someone forced Kidd to use him (Kidd has an irrational hatred of big men).

They're a well-oiled machine on offense. Just needed to improve a bit on D and it looks like they have over the past 3 weeks with some of the rotation changes.

Yeah the Gafford trade pretty much saved their season.

17-6 over the last 23 games. Very nice! 60.6 win-pace! Victories over Denver, Sacramento, Golden State, Miami, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, New York, and Philadelphia.
They're a playoff problem.

And that one loss was without Luka too.
Hopefully they give denver a challenge if kyrie can become more professional in the coming days.

Luka and Kyrie been on point. PJ, Jones Jr., and Gafford bring the athleticism. And their bench is sneaky good. Exum is the perfect high IQ back up point, Lively great back up center. They've come a long way since having to rely on Dwight Powell and maxi kleber.

I put $20 on Mavs to win it all.
It's a longshot but at 30x that's going to be a nice little bonus if it goes through.
I think 30x is waaaaaaay too high. I would put Mavs more at 10x.

i'll take them over injured minny and okc in a series I think. Denver will be hard for anyone to beat and clippers is a bad matchup for dallas with kawhi to guard luka george/mann to put on kyrie. Also clips one of the few teams with more firepower than dallas

I think they can take Denver if they're lucky and shots are hitting.
Clips for sure are built the worst for Mavs. Kawhi, PG, Westbrook can all put some size on Luka. A lot depends on Kawhi staying healthy though.

Luka sucks.
Oh yeah? He's doing what the big critics on this site asked of him (Share the ball more, play better D) and you guys still give him no credit.
He simply can't win here. The people who thought he was selfish (he just called Kyrie the Batman and said he was the Robin) and only cared for his stats and couldn't play winning basketball are real quiet now.

Out of Denver, Clippers with healthy kawhi, OKC, and Minny I feel like the Timberwolves are by far the easiest matchup. Luka and Kyrie would toy with Rudy. And they're missing a 25 ppg scorer due to injury.
Joker has an ongoing bruised or sore hip if i'm not mistaken and murray had something as well but they both continue to play. I think it could nag them in the long run.

Kyrie is so good that even Luka has understood you need to let him cook in the 4th.
On the other hand, Kyrie will never carry a team or be a leader.

Dallas vs Minnesnowta would be a Gentleman’s sweep, possibly even an actual sweep.
The memories of people saying otherwise must be broken …. considering the past playoff performances between the important pieces on both squads. Saying such a thing with Towns out is not even laughable, it just makes someone appear mentally challenged.

We all recall that a younger less experienced Luka, playing against physical prime Kawhi/pg, didn’t have any problems scoring 35-40 on them or hittingclutch buckets and game winners on em. Luka is now 25, with Kawhi/PG being a little past their primes defensively.

In large part due to Green huge scoring streak with Sengun out.
But Green doesn’t get his teammates easy looks the same way as Sengun, and when he comes back down to earth, like tonight where he went 5-15 with 12pts … the others aren’t put in position to get their easy buckets.

KAT is set to return in a couple of weeks. Any front court will have trouble handlin Ant-KAT-Rudy. The last time they played Minny beat them by 35.
Mavs are playing well but I don't see them making the conference finals.

What youre seeing is the bond between two guys who learned everything they know from LeKing. Kyrie directly, Luka indirectly. This is what makes them dangerous.
If they go absolutely loco and win a championship this season? It basically counts as a ring for Lebron too.

It's funny because Kyrie seems like a well liked guy on the team and even Luka now defers to him in the fourth and Luka is no slouch when it comes to the clutch.
Just goes to show that players recognise skill, even an all time great like Luka, respects that Kyrie is a wizard. I've always said that Kyrie is the best finisher I've ever seen in the game outside of MJ.
