Like a pocket-rocket Jason Kidd without the J. Was arguably a top-10 player in 2012. An important piece of the 2018 Pelicans team. Was LA's third-best player in the 2020 Playoff run IMO. A solid career. Not quite HOF, unfortunately. If he had a few more 2008-2012 type of seasons.

I enjoyed Rondo more than most people posting here and I never had a good reasoning as to why. I was a Laker fan when he was on Boston some 15 years ago and he was my favorite player for some reason. Okay, I severely disliked Pierce and wasn't a fan of KG's personality either. I still have no idea why I liked Rondo. I enjoyed watching him play and I'm not sure he was talented. I don't remember any big plays. There must have been some on 16 years but I come up blank. Still, I have a clear vision of his playing style - without the actual plays. I have the same feeling with the Joakim Noah, Byron Scott and Shawn Marion types.

Good player who earned more allstar selections than he would have otherwise on a mediocre team. But he made a lot of money and has 2 rings. Very solid career.

If he'd played in like, Orlando and Minnesota his whole career hed be I guess about… Ricky Rubio level of relevance? Hed be known, considered decent, but probably not much more. Their career averages in points/rebs/assists are identical if you dont round the decimals. They both missed a lot of time with injuries. Altho Rondo had more longevity.

I see Rondo as a pass-first Kyrie Irving in that Rondo was as talented a pass first point guard as there has ever been, but his personality just wasn't made for professional sports.

Prime for prime Rondo was definitely a better player, like 10%+FG at the rim better. Most of his career was wasted on bad teams after he blew out his ACL. As much as he benefited from the Big 3 early on, he hit his prime when those guys hit the wall.

Go back & look at his 2012 Playoff run and tell me he was carried by the Big 3 lol, he almost took those washed bums to the Finals. They lost a Game to Miami where he had 44/8/10/3 on 67% shooting. He had 22/10/14 in Game 7 too. That whole team struggled to make any 3s in the 2012 run and were a game away from making the Finals & potentially winning it all with Rondo leading the way.

He's hard to judge. After the Boston years he was practically with a different team every season. So it's tough to really get a good sense of how he affects a team's fortunes as a core player, outside of his time with the Celtics where it's hard to gauge how important he was.

LeBron James is used to delivering historic performances on The Finals stage. What he did in Game 6 of the 2020 Finals, though, puts him in a category all by himself.

James was named Finals MVP after the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat with a 106-93 win in Game 6. In doing so, James became the first player in NBA history to be named Finals MVP with three different franchises. He was at his best in the Game 6 clincher, finishing with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and won the Finals MVP by a unanimous 11-0 vote.

Smart time to get out...I don't see him having much competition for the Hall of Fame during his eligibility season. I don't see CPIII and Russ retiring yet so it'll be likely Rondo...maybe Dandre Jordan Blake Griffin and Kevin Love.
