In 36.1 minutes per game. 37% 3pt on 9.2 attempts per game.

I didn't think he'd be this good as a shooter so quickly. His spot-up shooting needs a lot of work but his pullup/off-the-dribble game has been amazing. Combined with his ball handling and passing, it makes him a KG-like playmaker. I've been so impressed by his ability to run inverted PnRs.

Because he's so young he's getting better exponentially. We're getting a sneak peek of what his numbers could look like in year 2.

He was 230 pounds this season; I expect he'll be around 235-240 next season. Maybe 245. That extra size, strength, and power will boost his scoring efficiency by making it easier to find and score inside. Another shot or two around the rim per game plus the free throws will elevate him into that 60-65% TS bracket most of the top scorers reside in.

That off the dribble swooping scoop/finger roll….any chance that becomes his signature? Nobody else really does it and I feel like I see it all the time. Hes too long to defend it. He doesn’t even need a step on you to just scoop it under your shoulder. He is way way more polished than he should be. If they find the one of like two good players said to be in this supposedly shot draft they would be set. Probably best to go for one more year of tanking though. See what Flagg ends up looking like.

He is definitely willing to test the limits on what he can do. He will try some wild stuff at times which makes for good highlights but hurts his efficiency. Realistically his efficiency isn't that important right now its more about finding out what works.

Much better passer than i was expecting.

His rookie year has been a pretty big success. With all the hype he got it would have been easy to disappoint. I didn't watch much early in the season but now he's in my LP rotation when he plays against a team i like.

That image says all you need to see. It should be his award in a landslide.

He wont win it because of team record but going forward he will probably win almost every year he plays 65 games.

I'm not sure DPOY will be a team oriented award this year. If the voters see this, they might very well set the standard going forward like they did one year when a 10 or 11 win pitcher win the CY Young that record doesn't factor in as much as before.

There is not anything about being "valuable" in the name of the DPOY. It's like the Offensive Player of the year in the NFL, it goes to the individual with the performance.

Defensive player of the year is worded in such a way the voters can remove the team record aspect of it if they choose to do so.

He Pretty ridiculous observable difference, but I don’t see them giving it to him as a rookie. Rudy is pretty much going to win this one because he plays with a couple other great defenders and Ant has taken off so they’re winning. Better team D and better team. Not much more to it. Wemby is deserving though. But like most awards?

I think many of the voters might give it to him. It's pretty easy to justify and he's the more exciting guy to give the award to. Gobert gets it and it's like all right he deserves it yawn boooring. Wemby gets it and it's decent news about a phenom who won DPOY his first season.

in 10 years the conversation about Wemby will be "If not for injuries would he have been GOAT"

It'll be Greg Oden convo on steroids.

This dude is putting up empty stats on the worst team in basketball, and will snap both knees within the next 3 years. I'll bet my entire life that this guy amounts to absolutely nothing in this league due to injuries.

We are witnessing close to his peak right now... basically, stat-padding on garbage team and showing amazing potential is the peak of this dudes powers. Enjoy it while you can

This is the same idiot that said he would leave the board if Embiid won MVP.

Out producing the Best Player in the world in a game the Nuggets needed at the end of the season is wild for this 20 year old.
