If that were my son holy moly he'd be grounded in ways I can't even think of off the top of my head - owe that teacher a laundry list of reparations and since the video has been filmed and publicly shared I'd force a public apology out of him with ensuing follow up videos of owning up to what he did with progress towards making the situation right IE "today I did yard work for the teacher / today I washed the teachers car / etc" and that's in addition to whatever punishment the school and community doled out.

No way to act period. I don't care what the teachers lgbqt status is. That's a separate thing entirely and not even worthy of being brought up unless it somehow lead to the altercation afaic

He's 17 but they are going to charge him as an adult for felony assault on a government employee. 2 months earlier he trapped a male black teacher in a classroom and threatened him. The school refused to suspend or discipline him over that possibly because of Obama issuing guidelines and threats to school districts that only a certain amount of black and brown students could be disciplined before they reached a quota. Trump did away with it, but some school districts kept the guidelines in place. Guidelines or no guidelines, once the cops got ahold of the kid's school record, they are now also charging him with kidnapping for his first incident with a teacher.

Obama is probably fuming but he'll just have to deal with it
