Some may forget, the year before he went to the Warriors he was the top player on a Nuggets team that won 60 games out of nowhere.

Then he goes to GS and they immediately rattle off three championships in four years plus a fifth finals appearance.

Gets traded to the Heat in the 19-20 season... Makes the Finals with the Heat.

2022, signs with GS again... Champions :lol

Iggy had a better record than the Warriors the year before he got there, and every year in between his tenures.

The years he was with them they always made the Finals and usually won. He has a FMVP to his name.

Steph has low key been on that MJ time, not having ANY success in this league without his Pippen.

Does Iguodala deserve more credit as "the guy" of the Warrior's dynasty?

Gotta troll better than this. Steph won a title with Iggy playing 7 total playoff games and 61 minutes total in 2022.

Essentially winning without him.

It's called INTANGIBLES bro.

The other guys clearly respond to Iguodala's leadership.

His spiritual presence to the team bt was very strong. There's a very good reason why he's called a lucky charm.

The truth of the matter is that the mania for creating star narratives means that we fail to give lots of people enough credit. This includes, for example, Dennis Johnson, James Worthy, Joe Dumars, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Vernon Maxwell, Derek Fisher, Tony Parker etc... And yes, it also includes Iggy. And with the Nuggets right now, it definitely includes Gordon and KCP.

He was a valuable role player and one of their locker room leaders, but issues in GS went beyond that. They needed to move on from Klay but stuck with him and look where it got them. They have to make some major moves in the off-season.

Looks like trading away poole in exchange for a washed cp3 didn't go well at all. :ohwell:

It's not his fault Philly didn't build around him and sabotaged his most productive years. I think 4 rings, a gold medal and a finals MVP should put you in the hall. We're putting Vince Carter in the Hall and that guy killed the teams he was on

Actually, I think if he had stayed with the Nuggets he would not be remembered that much in the long run. I mean, who remembers Steve Smith, Mitch Richmond, Elton Brand, Steve Francis, etc. nowaways? Their names don't pop up in conversations that often, unless you are talking specifically about Top SG of the 90s or stuff like that. Iguodala would fall in that category if he just had his Philly and Nuggets stints, a low-key franchise player who never won went far in the playoffs.
