Lets say Jokic > Lebron. AD >> Murray unless super saiyan version of Murray shows up.

Is Porter Jr, Gordon and KCP really better than D'lo, Reaves and Rui?

On paper I feel this could be a pretty even match up.

Yes.

Just not during that first half.

Yes? Gordon and KCP in particular are ideal modern roleplayers. Lakers only advantage from 1-8 is whoever you have as their second best player between LBJ and AD. And even that went away last year given how Murray played.

No. As individual players they are not. The Nuggets are the better team. When they actually play like a team. Today they play like individuals and it's ugly and ineffective.

Nuggets role players are more consistent. They have better spacing.

They are better defenders, by far.

On offense, outside of a team system, the Lakers guys have the edge. Within a system, however, the Nuggets guys are tremendous.

On balance, I give the edge to the Nugs, mostly because DLo and Reaves are defensive liabilities.

We gonna act like Bron cant win a title with KCP?

He DID win a title with KCP.

The Nuggets have a better roster right now, PERIOD.

Well, LeBron knew the Lakers would be much better with Westbrook, so they got rid of KCP. How’s that genius decision working out?

This matchup is about who executes better and that's clearly Denver. The talent on paper is even, but is a secondary factor.

Darvin Ham isn't coaching LeBron right. LeBron is 39 years old. There are few older than him in the league, if there are any. You have to manage him differently.

LeBron is a competitor- if you let him, he'll play every minute which is why the coach has to be override that with a sensible plan. Last game leBron played 38 minutes in regulation. That's not going to work.

LeBron was winded down the stretch. If you ask LeBron, he's fine, but his ability to close would be optimal if he was rested earlier in the game, given his age. A high IQ coach would recognize his limitations at this stage in his career and coach him accordingly.

Other than the last 3 he missed, he was playing solid offense in the 4th if a step slow on D. But he could have had greater impact with fresher legs.

If you sit Lebron for two extra minutes that game, the Lakers arent even in it at end.

Lebron being winded but having a chance is better than Lebron being fresh with the game out of reach.

It’s win or go home. The Lakers dont have the luxury of quality depth. Lebron’s gotta play big minutes. He did, and he was spectacular. The King did his part last night. Not his fault muh****ers cant get a damn rebound.
