The Indiana Pacers have submitted 78 plays to the NBA that they felt were called incorrectly against them during Games 1 and 2 against the New York Knicks, a league source told ESPN.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle, speaking after Indiana fell behind 2-0 in the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 130-121 loss to New York on Wednesday, said the team had identified 29 questionable calls from Game 1. The source said the Pacers identified 49 such plays from Game 2 and submitted them overnight to the NBA office.
. Carlisle said they had decided not to send the Game 1 calls to the league office for review but reversed that decision after Game 2 had similar officiating issues from their perspective.
As part of NBA protocol, the clips will also be shared with the Knicks.
"I can promise you that we're going to submit these tonight," Carlisle said after being ejected in the final minute when he was given two technical fouls. "New York can get ready. They'll see 'em too. I'm always talking to our guys about not making it about the officials, but we deserve a fair shot."
"Small-market teams deserve an equal shot," Carlisle said. "They deserve a fair shot no matter where they're playing."

Damn, 78 plays?
I just wonder some of the calls these refs make. That Myles Tuyner moving screen in game 1 was a textbook screen that wouldn't be called at any other point in the game. Knicks players wouldn't have cared and just kept playing had the whistle not gotten blown. Then the double dribble call in game 2. What are you even looking at to call that in the moment, just to have another official say no he didn't. Its going to cost a team later in these playoffs.

Strange thing is that the Pacers have missed 3 more foul shots than the Knicks. :facepalm
Knicks have 18 more rebounds in 2 games. I think that has more effect on the outcomes than ref incompetence.

May be true but they did Indiana DIRTY in game 1 with that offensive foul call and the "kick ball" turnover late game. Indy should've won Game 1. And I have no bias watching this specific matchup.
I boycotted watching the rest of the series after that.

The problem is that people always focus on bad calls at the end of the game but ignore bad calls throughout the rest of the game. What people perceive as ref bias is really just ref incompetence, and they don't suddenly become incompetent at the end of the game.

Bad calls at the end of the game are the worst especially if it's close. Yea the refs can swing momentum at any time... but if it's a one possession game and you're calling super weak fouls? That's a ****ing rig. Like... it wasn't even close. It was patently obvious the league want New York to win and the only way the Pacers can beat them is by blowing them out.

The Knicks playing well has been fun. Almost as fun has been watching these other fanbases meltdown over the Knicks playing well. The refs held Halliburtons arms down in game 1 so that he would only take 6 shots all game. The refs help the Knicks getting rebounds. The refs banned Indiana from have TJ in at the end of the games. The refs are forcing Pascal Siakam to shoot like Ben Simmons from the line.
The worst fan base in all of sports are the Sixers fans though. They are still melting down over the Knicks and hate watching them against Indy. I couldn’t imagine watching games where my team isn’t playing and getting angry at the team that is winning. And they Stan that huge loser Embiid, who is one of the dirtiest players in the game, a big b*tch and an awful human being.

The ref conspiracy thing is so lame. I have seen that in multiple series, people blaming the refs as if they are making a coordinated effort against their team. Get real. The refs have proven they aren't even competent enough to do that if they tried without making it obvious.

if you enjoy spending $800 and 4 hours on a cab ride that should take $50 and half an hour just because your life revolves around nothing out of conning your parents, sure.
you're really good at making a point why the rest of the world do in fact live in a better world when you've been disconnected.

I don't think I'm just saying this as a die-hard lifelong Knicks fan, but watching this team go deep into the Playoffs has been fun. It's a team who has been the laughingstock of the league for years, and here they are two games out of the ECF.

I've never rooted for the Knicks in my life, until now. I like the way they've built the team and the way they play.

Too bad so many guys are out, they’d have a legit chance at the title if everyone was available. People don’t realize that in January with everyone playing the Knicks went 14-2 and had a +246 point differential that month, the tenth best monthly differential in NBA history.

PER wise, they're there. so I think it's clear that given the current format, there's a pretty good salary range that helps you build a contending team.
the fallacy here is that since it's the playoff, supermax guys will always prefer to slow things down. Jokic is the testament that a lot of bigs can produce high efficient iso shots even on an uptempo system. and that's when the fouls come in.
having thibs help, because he's a good adjustment with time out guy, but that's probably still not the hill you wanna die on.

The reporting was that they were not going to submit the complaint after game one, but decided to package the two together after game two. I don't know what happens after every game, but if you are right then the reporting is wrong. This article says that the protests are rare, with only 13 of them being lodged in between 2000 and 2020. But this article's probably wrong too, since you say it happens every game.
